takumen was our favorite restaurant lic when we lived in lic, and we look forward to an apology to go back to lic today so that we can revive takumen. pitched as a japanese izakaya, I find it quite unique, not a typical Japanese restaurant at all. maybe a Japanese hipster restaurant. with a cool coffee pastry shop entry point, full bar, a kind of artsy/indie/minimalist interior, combined with a large rice bowl and ramen lunch menu, plus excellent steak and sashimi dinner options, the place keeps it in every neighboring place. my only grip is that they were not a tip restaurant before, then when the minimum wage regime in nyc came into force, they increased their prices and began to invite ti...

A family friendly restaurant that’s fun for the kids and cozy for adults. We liked the drinks and appetizers hojicha latte and chicken wings in particular were highlights. Ramen a bit bland for adult palette but was good for my toddler. Some at our table found the food to be under seasoned.. but I prefer less salty food so that was great for me. In general, the restaurant is perfect for drinks and small bites. Unfortunately, the ramen kind of misses the mark, but I’d definitely go back for other food.

I like this place: I invite some friends for dinner sometimes and I order food by delivery. I give 3 stars due to their inconsistent quality of delivered food. Sometimes, it’s ok, but, sometime, it’s so disappointing. Especially, today’s delivered order has very low quality: The fried chickens must have been reheated and smell bad. I am very disappointed with today’s delivery.

A quaint little spot in LIC for Japanese fusion. Service and atmosphere are fantastic, and the food (while not cheap) is solid quality. The fried tako and soy garlic wings hit the spot, and the namban chicken bowl was simple but delicious. The ramen was definitely on the saltier side, though. This is one the best hidden gems in all of LIC! They offer incredible Asian fusion with a beautiful presentation. The poke bowl is my absolute favorite. While this restaurant is quite small (see: cozy), I would not recommend it for children. Looking for your next meal out...? Look no further than quaint and delightful Takumen.

Nice restaurant. Very aesthetically pleasing. The cilantro ramen broth was very good and the noodles were excellent. The chicken appetizers were so good. The service was good. Only bad thing is I think 19 dollars for a ramen bowl is just too expensive, and that’s not even including an egg.

I’ve been here several times over the years. It’s always delicious, the service is awesome and the bathroom is so clean and has a really nice bidet! Highly recommend but you should make a reservation in advance. It’s gotten really popular it seems.

Neighborhood ramen and rice bowl shop. Wings are a must! Forgot to get a photo of them. ramen was pretty good. A bit plain but noodles were fresh. Happy hour ends at 7pm with an array of options. Worth trying if you’re in the area! Reserva una mesa ahora
