Rufford Mill was the perfect venue for my wedding. When I was searching for a location, I wanted to stick to my budget. The moment I stepped into Rufford Mill, I knew it was the ideal place. While the main attraction for photographs is undoubtedly the abbey, the mill itself is equally beautiful. Throughout the planning process leading up to the big day, Seana was incredibly responsive to my emails and answered all my questions regarding my wedding. On the day itself, despite a bit of a gloomy atmosphere, Seana made her presence felt and offered invaluable assistance. She even helped me manage my big dress on the stairs! a nottinghamshire county council park, is a wonderful place to relax and walk around the lake, caffes are good clean and good value, there is a number around the website, along with shops. because it is a land park, there are different surfaces that can affect wheelchairs, children's cars, etc., I have negotiated the park in a manual wheelchair and electric scooter, due to the age of the building there is unusable access, but once in can be tight, personal are very helpful. tarmac or gras parking when no boxes manned, then it is payment and displaying to go price to press £4.50 for the day,
My partner and I got married here last month (April 2022), and it was absolutely beautiful—truly a dream come true. We initially scheduled our wedding for the end of 2020, but due to circumstances, we had to postpone three times. The staff was incredibly patient and understanding throughout the process. On our wedding day, the team was professional and worked hard to ensure everything went smoothly, while also being attentive to our needs. Great place for a day out. £3 to park all day and free to walk around the lake, through the woods and gardens and the ruin of Rufford Abbey. Great place for families with young children, watch the squirrels and birds at the feeding stations in the woods, vast grass area ideal for picnics and games, childrens play area and plenty of choice when it comes to refreshments. I enjoyed a lovely stroll around the lake, where I discovered two charming cafes alongside craft shops. Recently, a pizza restaurant has also opened in the area. For families, there’s a great children’s playground and a crazy golf course. At the lower end of the lake, there’s a fun fork for driving cars, which kids really love. Parking is just £4 for the whole day, which is quite reasonable these days.
Lovely place with loads to do for people of all ages. Great predict your future maze, ducks to feed, play area, beautiful walks and a statue garden. I was there for hours and didn't get to do everything. My favourite part was the bridge where you could see cars splashing through water. The locals cheered when the cars went fast and booed when they went slow. See photos.
Free parking, nice grounds, interesting buildings and plants, well kept garden with plenty to keep you interested. There's a cafe there too and a fully blown restaurant. Disabled access everywhere. A good place to go with a family, even younger kids, and everyone will find something they enjoy.
