It is somewhat tricky to find a place that serves Indian cuisine without compromising on the authenticity of the recipes. I understand how some places have to 'adjust ' the taste of their dishes according to local palates, and I certainly don 't blame them for ensuring a steady business. But that usually renders the curries too sweet and they taste nothing like the fare back home in India. Tandoor and Curry House surprises you pleasantly in this aspect. Best Indian food in Hobart, exceptional service and always a pleasant experience. My favourite restaurant by far, went last night for my Birthday and it was busy (as it always has been the half dozen times I have eaten here) yet food is always brought out within 10-15 minutes. Love it.
Amazing food and wonderful service for very good prices . has even converted my mum who 'doesn 't do spice '! will certainly be back any time I 'm in Hobart ! Can 't recommend this restaurant highly enough
Loved it only been twice once about 15 years ago and Monday night the food is just as good now as it was all those years ago,Live in North Queensland, don’t get down to Hobart very often.

Always superb meal and service. Never eat Indian food anywhere else, that would make me feel unfaithful Besides that, no interest in eating Indian food elsewhere.

The best Indian meal we have had in years. Fresh tasty, the rice was soft fluffy. The little pudding was amazing!
