Used to like coming Tao for the ambience and sushi train. But our recent experiences seem to be getting from bad to worse. Food on the train do not always look fresh, especially the bite-size food that are fried, like the takoyaki balls and squid tentacles. They tend to be cold and soggy; really not appetizing. Sushis on the train are a hit-and-miss; depends on your timing. If you're lucky, you'd catch really nice ones that have just been freshly made. Fried rice was not seasoned evenly; you can see chunks of white rice standing out from the rest of the plate. Laksa was missing a few ingredients, and udon soup standard is really not worth the price.

If you're looking for something authentic with good quality food (especially clean and fresh) then this is not the place for you. My friends like to come here cos it's fast n convenient. I actually would rather go to McD food quality pretty bad and random and they just simply make a fish. Like there was a sushi with fried fried onion, that's so wrong but I guess it's a cheap way to make variety? And they even put fortune cookies, macaroon, spring rolls and ginger bread on the sushi train!!! It's almost like they just wanna sell whatever to make money? Mayb for foreigners and westerners but if you know Asian food well, you won't like this place.

The worst dining experience I ever had was at Tao East Victoria Park. The service was so rude and unhelpful. We went as a group of 4 and everyone agreed. The staff are really inexperienced and not very nice. The food is very average and inauthentic. How can you be good at cooking Japanese, Thai, Vietnamese and Sushi all at once in multiple locations. They use which ever chefs they can get which means the standard is never going to be there. I would use the sushi train at your own peril as it goes around for hours on end.

Terrible! We paid on average $17 per dish and it was the worst quality I've had. The seafood laksa had barely any seafood in it, lots of that horrid processed crab meat. And it was so full of chilli we almost choked. The chicken katsu bento box was 45% rice and only had chicken, rice and cucumber. There are so many great asian cafes on this strip. Don't waste your time or money here. Reserva una mesa ahora

Sushi is not for me however they do have plenty of other dishes to chose from on the sushi train as well as a varied cuisine menu. We were not impressed with the vegetarian spring rolls ordered, they were hot but lacked filling with just something 'green' inside, other than that everyone enjoyed the food. Reasonable prices.

Pretty good food train can't complain there. Had the soup and wasnt much flavour. My girlfriend had won ton soup and was average too but the won tons were nice. Just a shame when you come in when its quiet the food that is supposed to be hot stays on the train to get cold.

This place is a little different & for that alone its worth the visit. Both a sushi train & yummy a la carte. Huge size portions. I found the noodles a little buttery but the sushi had a great selection & was really yummy & not too expensive unlike so many such I joints

The good thing about Tao’s is that they have the Sushi Train and an a la carte menu which serves Japanese, Thai and Vietnamese. There is a large variety of delicious in-house made cakes to try.Overall it’s ok and worth a visit. Reserva una mesa ahora

Late lunch today on a visit to Perth and was great as always. Was pleased to see steam baskets with assorted dumplings, pork bun and chilli inside and a few new items rotating around.
