Here is the best Mexican place in Blue Island. It can seem a lot of these kind of places are ramshackle, but this is like fine dining compared to a few of these that are nearby. Taqueria Durango is the best, especially true for vegetarians. Has a few healthy choices. You can get real margaritas and good shit beyond just tacos. Came in with a female friend. It was getting into the evening hours. That meant it was time for some happy hour specials. Both of us got margaritas. It's $9 at the normal price. Being my first visit, I opted for something straightforward and traditional, ordering two Asada tacos and two Al Pastor tacos. Each bite was a delightful explosion of flavor. I really love the chilaquiles with medium eggs here; they’re simply delicious. The green salsa is outstanding, and the eggs are cooked perfectly. I also enjoy their Barbacoa tacos, which I think are only available on Sundays. They tend to sell out quickly, so you’d better grab them as soon as they’re available! My only complaint is that the cashiers can be hit or miss in terms of friendliness. Other than that, the service is quick and the food is great.

We've returned three times since our initial visit. My go-to order consists of three tacos: Al pastor, carne asada, and shrimp, along with a cocktail. This weekend, I tried the piña colada, and wow, it was amazing!
