"El Torito boasts a great location, though I wish they had outdoor seating. The food was tasty and enjoyable. The draft beer selection was limited—only four options, and two of them were unavailable. Overall, I would recommend this place!"

Unfortunately, there were some mix-ups with the orders at El Torito. The staff seemed uncertain about which dishes belonged to which table. One order was accidentally served to the wrong person and had to be corrected, while for another, the server thought they had forgotten the chicken enchiladas. It turned out the platters had simply been switched, and the mistake only became clear when the diners began to cut into their meals. Overall, the experience was okay but somewhat disappointing, especially since this was my husband’s favorite restaurant. We used to celebrate all his birthdays, Father’s Day, and other special occasions here. He passed away in August, so this visit to the Dana Point...

I took my sister out to El Torito for her birthday dinner, and unfortunately, it was a big disappointment. It started with the stale chips we were served, and even after asking for fresh ones, they were no better. Our drink orders were also mixed up. When the food arrived, some of us got our meals well before others, meaning we had to wait until everyone was served to eat, and by that time, the food was cold. Later, we ordered more drinks from the bar that never came, yet we were still charged for them. As you can see from our photos, none of us were happy with the experience. Being in Dana Point and having a nice view doesn’t make up for poor service. We enjoyed spending time together, but...

I had my sister’s birthday dinner at El Torito, and unfortunately, it was a huge disappointment. It started with stale chips being served at our table. We asked for a fresh batch, but they were just as bad. Our drink orders were also mixed up. When our food finally arrived, some of us got it before others, so we had to wait for everyone to be served, which meant our food got cold. Later, we ordered more drinks from the bar, but they never arrived—yet we were still charged for them. As you can see from our pictures, none of us were happy with the experience. Just because El Torito is in Dana Point and has a nice view doesn’t mean the service is good. We enjoyed the company, but not the food o...

Great location with a solid lunch menu. There was a nice variety of lunch options, many with generous portions. I enjoyed the lunch combo featuring a tamale and a chicken taco. Everything was served hot, which was a plus. Although the taco fell apart when picked up, it was still delicious. The tamale didn’t have much chicken, but the flavor was good. Be sure to check your food, as there was some leftover foil from the wrapper. The chips and salsa were tasty, but the best part is definitely the view. The service was excellent, and the staff very attentive. I will definitely return. Lastly, they had one of the most delicious flans I’ve had in a long time. Reserva una mesa ahora

I absolutely loved the food! The staff was incredibly courteous, making for a wonderful dining experience. This is by far the best El Torito I've visited. The ambiance was fantastic, especially since I sat by the window with a beautiful view. I enjoyed watching the outdoor decor and the kids dancing to the music outside. I can't wait to come back soon for breakfast on Saturday and lunch. The great management here keeps us coming back for more!

I visited the El Torito in Dana Point on January 31st, as the sign indicated it would be closing on January 3rd. However, when I arrived, I discovered some customers and employees outside because they had chosen to close permanently and ahead of schedule. We then attempted to go to the Laguna Hills location, but faced the same situation there. In the end, we decided to head to Rodrigo's across the street instead.

El Torito offers good food and service, but the margaritas are quite weak and unsatisfactory. We visited for Taco Tuesday and really enjoyed the tacos, but we were left disappointed by the drinks. So, we decided to head next door to Harpoon Henry's, where they have an amazing happy hour featuring delicious Mai Tais. Next time, we’ll just go straight there! This photo is from Harpoon Henry's!

The food was mediocre. While the service was friendly, it was a bit slow and somewhat disorganized, even though the restaurant wasn't busy. The presentation of the dishes was appealing, but the chips and salsa were just okay. On the positive side, the views of Dana Point were fantastic. Reserva una mesa ahora

Very good experience. The menu had a wide variety of options, and the food arrived hot and flavorful. Despite the restaurant being very busy, the service was outstanding. We were lucky to have a great window table with a view of the harbor.
