Very nice decor that leads to a very expensive menu. Bar is the saving grace of this place, but doesn't seem like a place that would really attract a heavy bar crowd even though the bar takes up like half the restaurant. The main demographic seems to be clients 40-60 years old. The entrance is confusing from the main street as you have to circle around the bar to get to your table. Food is mediocre, coming out of a very small kitchen were the food is pre-fired before actually making it to your table, meaning they basically cook most dishes halfway and then complete the order once the server tells them to fire the entree. Went for dinner on psychic night with my the girls. It was a Prefix dinner menu and we speculated the food would be ok at best. I must say we enjoyed everything that we ate. For starters had a martini with toasted coconut and it was amazing. Loved it so much I was trying to replicate the drink but decided not to as I can see myself being a little too buzzed on a daily. For appetizers I had the mozzarella caprese. You really cannot screw that up. The other girls had the onion soup rice balls and they loved them. The menu has good options and the food is prepared well, but overall it's nothing that inventive and memorable. The place looks good too and the seating is well thought out. However, my experience was less than great due to our waiter. Our waiter was MIA most of the time we were there and never came by to see how our food was. He forgot my 1 glass of wine that I ordered with my meal and then it was a chore to track someone down for it. Also he was ready to give us the bill at 10:30 and hadn't even asked if we wanted desert or coffees. This is the third time I've been to taste. The first two times it was excellent this time it was very good but the website had a 27.99 price fix and when we got there we were told new ownership and no 27.99 dinner. Well on the website there were plenty of choices(apps, main and desert) for the 27.99 dinner. On the regular menu the marinated skirt steak alone was 34.99. Rip off. So I ordered lobster ravioli and was told they didn't have it. The new owner needs to get on the ball.
Been here several times, once for Easter dinner. Great decor and atmosphere. Bar is beautiful. Staff is friendly and works hard. Happy hour is fun, def gotta try it. Apps and drinks, quality and prices are perfect. Dinners are very good. Well put together and flavorful. Wine menu is short but drinkable. Enjoyed this place much. Cheers!
