5 Star this time Update: My previous review is: Third time in a row food it was awlful. Must have new cooks. I got Shrimp Lo mein. Had no veges, no onions. I asked for Xtra sauce and the whole thing was cold and dry, tasted terrible. Also got Shrimp egg fu Yung. Undercooked and cold. Terrible. Shrimp in both meals was tiny, used to be big shrimp. So I sent in a review and they contacted me. They asked us to give them another chance. I've been going there so long I just had to give them a chance to make it right and they DID. We ordered from the Taste of China in east Sarasota routinely when we lived there. Tried this store just now, really looking forward to it. Very disappointed with the steamed dumplings our favorite when the sauce tasted primarily like balsamic vinegar. No soy or ginger flavor whatsoever. Also ordered Shrimp Egg Foo Yung looked great, no flavor whatsoever, including the gravy.

Editing review: sadly this is not the same food as we previously enjoyed. Now we are searching for Chinese takeout options. Historically this used to be Best take out . We have enjoyed their consistently delicious meals for years. Ownership and/or recipes have changed.

We had dinner twice in the past month from China Taste and it was really good both times. The hot and sour soup was as good as it is in NYC.
