Anyone considering dining at Taste of Home should note that the highly positive reviews and ratings are quite outdated, dating back around five years. It seems this restaurant primarily caters to a small local community. I was clearly not a Russian speaker, yet I was addressed only in Russian—and the tone was noticeably rude. I’m not interested in supporting a business that isn’t welcoming to all customers. I’m certainly not the first to share this experience. This also makes me wonder about the other businesses along this stretch of road in Fair Lawn—possibly one of the quirkiest towns in Northern New Jersey. For example, I was also turned away at a pita place there at 12:25 pm on a Friday.
My daughter’s daycare arranged for food from this place, and she absolutely loved it. Ever since the pandemic started and her daycare closed, she has really missed her lunchtime and dinnertime, especially the pickle soup! If you're in search of delicious, high-quality home-cooked meals, this is definitely the place to go.
I recently visited Taste Of Home, a takeout-only restaurant, and was blown away by the incredible food inspired by the former USSR countries. I ordered samsa, chebureki, and Korean carrot salad. I only managed to snap a photo of the samsa, but everything I tried was delicious. I highly recommend Taste Of Home!
Usually go here to buy the Russian Serbian Dumplings. They are tasty, unfortunately most of staff does not speak English so it's hard to communicate. And pricing is up and down depending on who is the cashier.Features: They require masks to be worn

Unpretentious store sale excellent Russian fares hot dishes, salads, soups, pastries, dumplings etc. All is made clear lovingly, without cutting corners and no ingredients substituted for cheaper alternatives.
