I used to be a regular before the pandemic. Went back after a while away, and apparently the ownership changed, at some point. It is very noticeable. The curry has that sort of soupy, cinnamon heavy thing going on that I've seen at a number of places. Not sure what that's about, other than it seems to be the mark of things not going well. Either way, it basically just tastes like cinnamon, cardamom, and heat. Given how many places I've experienced this at, I have to wonder if this is some kind of pre made thing that they purchase. Our granddaughter was visiting from Colorado and decided to take her out for dinner. There were a couple of tables being occupied, which shouldn’t have been a problem when ordering our food. Our waiter brought out Chicken 65 first while we had to wait for the rest of our order. Brought our remaining order about 30 minutes later. Service was terrible, didn’t seem to understand what we were asking for and Chicken 65 was not the best. I asked for spicy and didn’t get spicy. Texture of coating that was put on meat was wet. Not enjoyable! We ordered multiple dishes to share along with a bottle of wine, which waiter brought other than what we ordered. He finally understood our wine selection. Wine...
Used to love this place. Incredibly disappointed tonight. We loved the aloo Gobi, and that should have potatoes in it. Not a potato to be found... and it was super spicy compared to the previous recipe. I am sensitive to spice, so I won't be back. My husband also loved the spicy curry and vegetable jal frazzie, but those are also not the same and not as good. Please bring back the old recipes or you will lose more customers.
Excellent service. Food is so delicious, freshly made to order and as soon as you walk in the door your taste buds are activated by all the savory ingredients spices. I had butter chicken, as I always do when I try a new Indian restaurant and it was the best out of any other place in this area. It was like the first time I try butter chicken absolutely amazing. Thank you Bal or Pal you single handedly changed my perspective of what butter chicken should taste like.
