The absolute best Haitian food on the island. Food is good, the price is good, the service is good, there is nothing bad that I can say about this place. I typically call and order ahead and never have any issues. I like my griot fried hard (sék for my zoes), and it's always as is. The rice is yummy and flavorful, and to my suprise, my picky haitian mom approves! I love spice, so I do wish the pikliz came in bigger cups, but that's about it. They make fresh patties daily and they have an assortment of Haitian drinks, especially my absolute favorite Cola Lacaye (sorry y'all Couronne just isn't it for me, but they do have it) Ragaman, they have an assortment of Cremas and they even have Ak100....

Hands down one of the best Haitian food places in Long Island. Worth the wait and every penny. The patties are fresh and taste so good. The fried plantains are fried perfectly and the pork is seasoned and also fried to perfection. They're on the pricier side but you definitely get what you pay for. It's for sure recommended and will continue seeing me as a customer. Service: Takeaway Meal type: Dinner Price per person: $20–30 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5 Recommended dishes: Fried Plantains

Been coming here for years and the food consistently tastes the same which I appreciate. This place has the best Fritay especially the tassot (fried goat) in Long Island, hands down! My husband and I go for it weekly because it's so good. Other dishes are good too such as the snapper and fried turkey. Customer service is just ok not the best and I wish they would accept debit/ credit card but other than that its a good restaurant!

I've been visiting this restaurant since I was a child, and they always had the best patties, especially after church. After moving away for a few years, I returned to the restaurant, and it was even better than I remembered. I highly recommend Taste the Island if you want to try authentic Haitian food! The oxtails are inconsistent! One week, they are served in large pieces with a generous portion, and the next week, they're cut much thinner and come in a smaller portion for the same price. If the food quality varies like this, customers are unlikely to come back.

I will never come back to this place again. This old man was very rude to me when I ordered my food. I left to go get change and came back to him yelling at me for not waiting for him. Seriously they have no etiquette at all. I don’t recommend this place to anyone.

This is hands down the best Haitian food I've had in New York! The service is outstanding—very friendly and professional. You definitely need to check it out!
