This will be our one and only visit to this restaurant sadly. We were looking forward to some good steak, but it was not to be. We had 5 PM reservations on New Year’s Eve, and the restaurant was completely empty. However, we were seated in a tight corner next to the only other two people in the entire restaurant. Obviously the couple was super annoyed by this, so we asked the maître d’ if we could be seated elsewhere in the restaurant. They said all the other tables were going to be filled, but we could sit at only one other table, if we promised to be done dining within 90 minutes, which we said would be no problem. Scrumptious, yummy food, with balanced portions that made me full enough without feeling bloated. We order pork belly, steaks, and sides to share. I really enjoyed the carrots, and love how they sliced our cuts for us. Watching the wagyu being cooked was fun, too. We also had some cocktails, which had really fun cups for each type of drink, and were all pretty delicious, though sweet. I found it interesting that we had to ask for bread service, but I guess it’s not an olive garden or anything so ?. Also, if we got too full on bread I don’t think we’d appreciate the meal as much. Something has recently changed with Taurus. It was our go to celebration restaurant. But the menu has been cut back, the servers did as good of a job as they could but the restaurant was under-staffed. The sides are served in much smaller portions. Even the serving plates and bowls have a cheaper feel to them in comparison to previous dinnerware. It used to be worth the price, but now not so much. The food tasted good but the value for the prices you pay has definitely declined. They have tried to address this by having a side “included” with your entree but the sides are so small that it was almost comical. we wanted to try a new place in the inner city of san carlos to the birthday of brandon and it was a beautiful surprise that the ambiente was so beautiful and the crab salad, pan friend garnel, grilled scallops, grilled wagyu with trufflemashed were all so delicious and tasty. the waiter was great and checked us. the waiting staff has filled our waters and the table in time. they brought us a surprise birthday dessert brownie with tfeeis.

Food was average, not worth the price. Ambience was too loud with some techno music. Seat cushions worn out. Bathrooms dark, falling apart, soap dispenser torn from wall, paper towels cheap fell apart as you dried your hands. Service was slow, claimed short handed. If planning to charge those prices they need to step it up. Not planning on coming back.
Oh, where to begin. I really want to like this place. It’s so nicely decorated and is our only true steakhouse. But then there’s reality. Poor service (kind people but so bad at their job), meh food, super high prices, don’t have the wine they claim to have. It has so much potential. Need to shake things up to make it function. Restaurant 101 stuff!
Steaks were great; menu just varied enough to allow a few repeat visits. Sides solid. Service was bad. Drinks slow. Rarely saw our waiter. Long sad pauses between courses. It's Covid, so a grain of salt here, go, expect to overpay, be patient, enjoy the excellent steaks. Support your local businesses.
Had a party of 6-8 people both times and had privelage to have Matthew as our server , the man is great at his job , food was good place was great I’ll be back just based off how Matthew treated us !

I think there is a shortage of wait staffs as always have to chase after them..... We enjoyed the food. Hopefully there will be more attentive waiters.,
