Can I give zero stars? My experience was terrible. The steak was overcooked, the side dish was undercooked, and the fries were stale. The waitress had a really indifferent attitude; I asked for rolls multiple times, and she kept saying she'd check if they were ready while other tables were already served theirs. She didn’t even ask how I wanted my steak cooked when I ordered and just walked away, so I had to go up and remind them about it. It felt like they overcooked my steak out of spite. I used to love this tavern, but for 90 bucks for three meals, I’m telling you, my meal was disappointing. The waitress didn’t care at all. Lunch menu best deal we’ve seen in New England at this cool, family friendly spacious bar restaurant set in a former post office. See the pix! Staff are quick and very gracious, the staff even went and dug up an extension cord so we could charge our eBikes. Good comfort food with generous portions and the baked scrod with crab and shrimp breading came with a side salad, side spaghetti and side ratatouille was under $14, an unheard of good deal these days. Great beer selection too with regional breweries represented along with the undrinkable national brands. Very good apple crisp for dessert.

The service was friendly, but everything felt a bit rushed. The restaurant had a sort of factory vibe during dinner. After a long day at work, I was hoping for a relaxing meal, but instead, I experienced a hurried, assembly-line atmosphere. The kitchen wasn't up to par either; the oil used for sautéing wasn't real olive oil. The aglio e olio pasta and sautéed dishes were overly watery and mushy. It seems like they could really use a new chef.

This was my first visit to the Tavern after living in Westfield for many years, and I’m so glad I finally decided to go! The service from Landon was outstanding, and the food was fantastic. Any negative reviews I've seen seem to come from overly critical people with too much time on their hands. Thank you for the wonderful service and delicious meals! My children are picky and usually only eat my homemade red sauce, but they absolutely loved the spaghetti and meatballs here. I wholeheartedly recommend this place—10/10! My preschooler even asked if we could move to Westfield just so we could eat here every day. The chicken parm, onion soup, garlic bread, and stuffed shells were some of the best I've ever had. We will definitely be returning!

This is one of the top spots in town for dinner. The portions are generous, the prices are fair, and the service is prompt. The bar has a great vibe, particularly around the holidays. A special shoutout to Chef Paul G. – that guy really knows how to cook!

Incredible service, the food was awesome, drinks were served promptly and chilly. The waitress separated the checks with the skill of a tax agent. The evening went smoothly as silk. Fantastic rehearsal dinner.
