We had a fantastic time at Taverna-Buckhead. The atmosphere was lively with great music at just the right volume. Our food choices were delicious, particularly the zucchini fritters and mussels. Although the sauce on the mussels was a bit salty for my taste, the mussels themselves were fresh and tasty. Our main dishes included lasagna al forno, tagliatelle alla bolognese, and paglia e fieno, all of which were excellent. The chef's focaccia was a hit with our table, especially when dipped in the rosemary olive oil and garlic. The restaurant is in a nice location and the bar service was competent. The value for the price was above average. The three of us had two rounds of drinks, two appetizers, salads, main courses (Bronzino, Osso Buco, and a special Ravioli), and split a dessert, all for under $300 before tip. The description of the special ravioli was a bit misleading as it was called "Brisket Ravioli", but did not contain brisket in the filling, only in the sauce. Despite this, we would return to the restaurant.
Dinner was amazing and the server was great. I do not remember her name, but she was well mannered and made sure that our table had everything that we did need. The utensils were dirty. There was food residue on the utensils So I have to ask for another set however, the server did apologize and made sure I had a new set right away.
The food was excellent and served quickly, but the drinks were slow. Our waitress was training someone at our table, and we didn't receive fresh Parmesan. The manager also skipped over our table to check on other customers. However, the outstanding food saved the overall experience.

We were celebrating 3 birthdays in my family so I made sure to write the information down when making the reservation. I love how the staff paid attention to my note and brought out birthday desserts for the table!

I love taverna ! Their brunch and dinner is exceptional! The staff is always so welcoming and the food is so filling. The dessert is probably my favorite part honestly
The food is excellent, the service is prompt and helpful, and the restaurant space is beautiful.
