"My husband has I found this fabulous typically French restaurant. Similar to a barn with high beamed ceilings, long wooden tables and red tablecloths. Very rustic. The food was amazing. we both had the Plank of Beef....fillet steak. After we sat in the pretty garden to continue our drinks.Perfect lunch."

We visited at 8:45 pm on a very busy Friday night in the summer holidays and had not exactly managed to book. However they were very kind and squeezed the two of us in.We were most glad that they did, because it was a great building, with a very interesting and local menu. We had a particularly helpful waiter, Alexis, who spoke impeccable English and seemed genuinely hospitable and keen to ensure that we had a great meal – which we did. Even though they were really busy, when we asked about a particular cheese, he took the time to give us a taste beforehand, which I thought was particularly great customer service. My partner is a vegetarian and, as others have observed, there is not an extensive menu for vegetarians. However, we can recommend the tartine berguois as being both vegetarian and delicious. All in all, a great start to a holiday – but I really would recommend making a reservation during the Busy season ;-)

Last night in France with Autralian friends. Looked forward to taking them to Le Breugel as my first experience was excellent. This time all was very good especially the starters, the lamb and the rabbit. Sadly my friend's gratin au jambon, ham gratin was very disappointing , as, although the cheese sauce was tasty, the ham was too tough to eat - we all tried it and agreed. However the evening was saved by the excellent service provided by Alexis, the young waiter. He offered coffees all round for the long wait and disappointing meal and engaged us in pleasant conversation, with his excellent command of English. Merci

I get so annoyed by good restaurants letting themselves down by employing too few serving staff. Took 2h 10m for two courses. We have young children who were getting very bored after it took 30 minutes to clear our table so we abandoned any thoughts of dessert and left. Such a shame because the food was good.

Recommended by our hotel and conveniently situated in town, the Bruegel has a great atmosphere with long, scrubbed top tables. There are individual tables but it's more fun to mix in with the locals. The food was locally sourced, of good quality, and well cooked. Try the rabbit. Excellent. Friendly service.
