We visited at 8:45 pm on a very busy Friday night in the summer holidays and had not exactly managed to book. However they were very kind and squeezed the two of us in.We were most glad that they did, because it was a great building, with a very interesting and local menu. We had a particularly helpful waiter, Alexis, who spoke impeccable English and seemed genuinely hospitable and keen to ensure that we had a great meal – which we did. This is the second time I have ever eaten at this restaurant and it is superb. The staff courteous, attentive and appeared just when we needed them. No hurry even though they were busy, wednesday lunchtime.Enjoyed pork fillet with vegetables in an individual tourine with french fries. Divine. The others had the chicken, the Duck (best ever) and the Lamb Shank and none of us were disappointed. We had desserts, not that we needed them but the meal was so lovely that we wanted to savour the experience.

We loved this restaurant! Food and beer were great! We had roasted pork and chicken in a cheese sauce-divine. The service was good-they made an effort to help us with ordering-although we had an English menu we had a few questions about the preparation-they were quite patient. Definitely recommend this restaurant-not to mention the town!

I get so annoyed by good restaurants letting themselves down by employing too few serving staff. Took 2h 10m for two courses. We have young children who were getting very bored after it took 30 minutes to clear our table so we abandoned any thoughts of dessert and left. Such a shame because the food was good.
