The food was decent, but it was severely lacking in spices. My friend and I ordered a spice level of 6/7 (out of 10), but it barely registered as a 1. I was surprised to see that they seemed to just sprinkle red chili flakes on it instead of using a spice oil. The pork belly was mostly fat (I understand that pork belly is fatty, but there was very little actual meat) and sadly, it was unseasoned. I might give them another chance, but I would definitely choose a different dish next time.
We frequently look for a place to dine before attending the Cincinnati Pops Sunday concert. Teak OTR is a restaurant we have gone several times. The food is always delicious, and we've found the servers to be very friendly as they scurry through their duties. I miss the quirkiness of the Mt. Adams Teak, but the new location has all the excellence of food, beverage, and service of the original. And it's such a short walk to Music Hall that we eat there more often.
Teak has been one of our favorite spots since it reopened downtown a few years ago. While the spice levels can vary at times, the food is always delicious. We love the Spicy Fried Noodles and can never resist ordering the Spring Rolls. If you're looking for a rice dish, the Green Curry and Chicken Thai Spicy are also great choices. The sushi is fantastic as well—you really can't go wrong here!
Overall, it was fantastic! I really enjoyed the spring rolls; the accompanying sauce is absolutely delicious. The Dim Sum was excellent as well; I ordered the steamed pork and shrimp. The Pad Thai was just okay—it could have had more flavor, but that might be because I chose the tofu option. All in all, it was a delicious experience! Reserva una mesa ahora
Was expecting really great food and was bummed when my pineapple fried rice was only warm and seemed dry and warmed over, not juicy and hot like it would have been made of prepared fresh. My friend liked his Holy Basil dish which seemed fresh and hot. Maybe it was just a one off bad experience but I likely won't be back.
I ordered my meal at a spice level of 10, expecting it to be different from what I've had at most restaurants, and I have to say, it was a genuine 10. I'm in actual physical pain, but it feels amazing! Finally, a restaurant that truly brings the heat. I highly recommend it. Next time, I think I'll go for an 8 instead!
I have been to Teak many times and they never disappoint. This time, for the first time, I ordered sushi, and it was delicious. My dining partner ordered a noodle dish and was also very pleased. So was I when I took a small taste of his order. We will be back.
The Siam Chicken is excellent, flavorful, aromatic, spicy; a very generous portion with a sweet piquant sauce. I have always enjoyed Teak but this new recipe is my new favorite. Reserva una mesa ahora
