My husband and I visited this restaurant yesterday to celebrate our wedding anniversary. The sushi was decent, but it felt like the chefs didn’t focus much on the details. For example, our bowl had two chips, and the gyoza appetizer was served cold. Additionally, they didn’t remove the myoglobin (the little black spots) from the fatty tuna sashimi I ordered. They did offer me a complimentary piece, but that one was so tough that I ended up spitting it out. I do wish they would be more attentive to these details. Overall, the price is reasonable, but if you're looking for high-end sushi, I would recommend trying Billy’s or Sushi Fix in Minneapolis instead.
We've always loved sushi but had been hesitant to try this place, sticking to our usual spots instead. Finally, one Sunday, we decided to give it a chance, and we were thrilled to discover a hidden gem. The restaurant offers an impressive selection of chef specials, allowing us to try rolls we had never tasted before. We found some new favorites and can't wait to return for more! They also had a few deep-fried roll options, which I’m always eager to sample, and they were fantastic! The Minnesota and 2012 rolls were particularly outstanding!
This is arguably the best restaurant in Maple Grove. Nestled in the charming Fountains shopping area, it offers a delicious and diverse selection of Japanese cuisine. While I can't speak to the overall authenticity, I can say that I've become a regular due to the consistently high quality of the food, great flavors, and the satisfaction I've experienced with every dish I've tried from the menu. I always recommend the Hibachi and suggest bringing a friend along to enjoy the experience!
The sushi is decent if you find yourself in the neighborhood, but there are certainly better choices nearby. To be clear, there's nothing wrong with this restaurant. The service was fantastic, and the sports bar atmosphere was surprisingly cozy. However, the food just didn't stand out compared to other options. I would return if I'm in the area, but I wouldn't specifically visit for a special dining experience.

The taste was fantastic, and the service was excellent. They made a slight mistake with my customized Philly roll, but they quickly corrected it at no charge! It was delicious. There are also many gluten-free and non-sushi options on the menu.
The sushi and takoyaki here are of excellent quality, complemented by an incredibly friendly staff and skilled chefs. The presentation of the dishes was outstanding and expertly done. You really can't find better value for the price.
Everything was absolutely delicious! I would definitely go back again. However, I would prefer if they had either CNN or any news and politics channel on their TV. I would much rather watch the Food Network instead.
Incredible sushi! This was an unexpected gem in MG. It rivals the sushi found in the Bay Area! The service was excellent, the ambiance was pleasant, and overall, it’s a fantastic spot with a diverse selection.

Very nice place for sushi. Even those who don't like raw fish enjoyed the sweet potato sushi roll. Prices are reasonable and the fish tasted fresh. Also easy to get to and there was no wait to get seated.
I swung by for a quick snack while running errands, and the straightforward little rolls were just what I needed.
