My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed our free tasting! Nicky was our bartender and she impressively kept track of 3 different tastings at the same time. Nicky was very helpful and a great representative for Tennessee Hills. During a tasting you get to try all of their products. They have a new ginger whiskey that was really good! We also really enjoyed their lavender lemonade rum. The lavender really cuts the tartness and it is not too sweet the way many lemon flavored alcohols are. The store front has lots of glasses, tshirts, drinking paraphernalia, liquor flavored food items like honey, jelly's, maple syrup, coffee, and hot sauce. Stopped by on my way to Asheville today and totally by chance but had the most wonderful experience doing a free tasting with Cameron! He had a lot of knowledge about the spirits he presented and everyone there had a wonderful time! Great people, god, country, and good Tennessee whiskey! ??? .UPDATE: 3 stars only because one of my friends told me (after doing a bit of digging), that the 'distillery ' is only a place that bottles and sells bourbon made elsewhere and it is not distilled on premise, in its own facility. I must admit that even though I visit many distilleries with my husband, I’m often not very impressed with the liquor or the store. However, this place really stands out! The staff is fantastic, the merchandise is top-notch, and the tasting experience was truly remarkable. The hardest part was choosing what to buy since I wanted nearly everything! My husband's favorite is the blood orange and honey, while mine is the lemon drop. We will definitely come back the next time we’re in the area!
I gave this place one star because after my visit, I did some research. It turns out they don't actually make their own bourbon. This is definitely one of those spots that relies on marketing to attract customers, which goes against the true spirit of bourbon. If they were upfront about using someone else’s product for their bottles and labels, I would be more than willing to support them. But pretending to craft their own bourbon has completely turned me away.

My wife and I thoroughly enjoyed the free tasting. This distillery clearly takes its craft seriously and the quality is superior to many “top shelf” national brands. The Bourbon of course was fantastic; I was most surprised at the Run selection though. I’d have been a terrible pirate ? as am not a rum fan; but we both really enjoyed each of the rum samples. We walk out with quite a bit of product and might visit this town again just to stop here.
This place is fantastic for whiskey and rum lovers. The drinks are delicious, and they offer a wide variety. They have an excellent selection of merchandise as well. I had the pleasure of meeting the owner, who is a truly nice gentleman and a master of his craft. They offer free tastings all the time, making it a must-visit spot for a delightful experience. Highly recommended!
We visited for a tasting and were amazed by the variety of Bourbon whiskeys offered. They also have a selection of Gin, Vodka, and various Rums. The service was excellent; the staff took the time to explain each sample and the distillery's processes for making perfect Whiskey. We left with a couple of bottles to enjoy at home!
We had a great time at the whiskey and moonshine tastings! The staff was fantastic, and we were thrilled to discover some local whiskey and moonshine to take home. The bar has a charming atmosphere, and we wish we had the opportunity to sit down and enjoy a drink there.

We bring everyone who visits to the Tennessee Hills Distillery! Always such a great experience with the tasting and a few drinks at the bar. Everyone is friendly and very knowledgeable. Would always recommend!!!
I had a fantastic experience and enjoyed some excellent drinks! The restaurant is dog-friendly, and my dog was perfectly content just relaxing on the cool floor.
