"My family and I like coming here when we are craving sushi. There's usually not a very long wait. There's a huge selection with a lot of special rolls. You end up getting a lot of food and the bill isn't bad either. The aburi is really good here."

We've been to a Japanese restaurant at this location a couple of years ago and liked it. Seen that it has changed hands, we decided to come in for another try. The place is entirely run by Chinese, with the addition of a cherry blossom tree in the middle of the restaurant which is quite pretty. Selection of sushi rolls is extensive. Portions are generous and prices are good. Food tasted delicious, with the exception of the wild salmon sashimi which had a few chewy pieces. With any Chinese-run business, the service is not fantastic. But compared to some other Chinese restaurants we have reviewed, their service is definitely above average. Overall, we'll return and we recommend this place.

Avoid this place. Four of us went for dinner. The tempura was under cooked and grease sodden, the "crab" motoyaki was supposed to have crab, scallops, and mushrooms. It was made with fake crab, no mushrooms, and if there were scallops, I couldn't find them. There were mashed potatoes, however, and a disgusting amount of mayonnaise. When we complained, the waitress asked us what we expected for that price. I hadn't noticed the price, honestly. We also had deep fried squid - greasy, nasty and served with Chinese plum sauce. The vegetarian gyoza were ok, but industrial; the mackerel was the best of what we ordered and it was just ok.

We finished hiking late so decided to grab some quick Japanese food. We got to the restaurant and they were still serving from their lunch menu. We got lunch boxes. It came with miso soup and sunomono salad to start. Portions are big and sushi is big. One box had tempura, California roll, futomaki roll, nigiri sushi, salad and sweet orange slices. The other box had chicken udon, nigiri sushi, futomaki roll, salad and also orange slices. Price is inexpensive.

Prices and food is good and you get quite a bit for what you pay for. I always buy from the 2 + 2 menu which is 2 items from the A menu and 2 items from the B menu. I always get the from the A menu Miso Soup and Rice and from the B menu Chicken Teriyaki and California Rolls for $ 7.95 if I remember correctly. They get really busy at times and service gets slow but worth the wait if you have the time.
