To be frank, I dislike goat. I can't stand the smell and the gaminess of the meat. I simply had given up on that meat! And then, I found Teresa Restaurante. The goat is tender, flavorful and there is absolutely NO goaty smell. Amen! I don't know how she does it or what she puts in the stew but there is a slight scent of cloves, anise, cardamon and or cinnamon but no goaty smell. Because I dislike goat so much, we ordered the veal but the owner insisted we should try the goat and gave us a tasting portion (on the house) I smelled, I tasted and then, we ate the whole serving. Restaurante Teresa is in the heart of Lanheses. The owner cares for every little detail to ensure you experience is good and it doesn't take long to tell this is her passion. The service is tremendous. The food was very tasteful and the portions were very filling. This is real, home style Portuguese cooking and comfort food.
