Terra Inca - Cocina Peruana

This restaurant has a modern decor, efficient staff (a waitress in our case for late lunch) and a very varied menu. We ordered Pisco with the passion fruit juice for an aperitif. Delicious. My husband ordered llomo salado, which was soft and full of taste. I got Piqueo Terra Inca, which was a tasting menu of 6 small dishes, beautifully presented and very delicious. Potatoes filled with meat, grilled octopus, ceviche, mussel with corn were all great. I highly recommend this place. That was my best meal in Colombia.

We chose Terra Inca based on Tripadvisor recommendations and were not disappointed. The ceviches were exquisite and decent size, we had one (Salmon cocktail, Pulp and classic ceviche) and then shared the mixed grill between the 4 of us, which was really a large part and very tasty. Our drinks (Mango/Passion, ice tea and Cocolima granizadas) were also delicious. A taxi from the center of the city is around COP 5000 and it is certainly worth it.

Pedimos un Ceviche Mixto y Aroz con marisco y todo fue decepcionante. A ambos platos les faltaba sabor porque creo que sus productos no eran frescos. El keviche llevaba más cebolla que pescado y la verdad no debería llamarse keviche… ¡no tenía sabor! Nos decepcionó porque todas las críticas sobre este lugar fueron fantásticas.

I travel the world and this place is one of the best. Loved everything. The pulpo was amazing, also the cerviche, and especially the steak. Prices inexpensive. Smaller place off main drag but ate here 4 times this trip. They were my 4 best meals in Popayan.

Excelente almuerzo. Probamos el Ceviche Mixto y el Lomo Saltado. ¡Mi esposo es peruano y le dio su sello de aprobación!
