We had a family dinner at The Terrace and it was sold to me as being a lovely place to have dinner. I had the market fish and really enjoyed it. It was salmon today and came with mashed potato and broccolini. There was then a "salsa" that tasted like olive teppanade - it was a strange addition to this meal. I liked all of the flavours and yet the teppanade just didn't go. My son had macaroni and cheese and didn't like it at all. It was overly creamy and he said it didn't taste right. Clearly the kids meals are not given the same degree of attention as the adult meals. The biggest problem however was that from 7.15 to 7.35 there were regular loud announcements about raffle prizes. A somewhat regular to this restaurant. Great for families and plenty of open space around and above. There is now table service so no need to get up and order food or drinks. Staff are very friendly as well. Meals on Saturday night were out within 25 minutes for 8 people (kids were earlier). Food ordered was Barramundi, seafood platter, pizza and pasta for the kids. The pasta was more than enough for all kids. The barramundi was tasteful and filling, The seafood platter didn't look like it would be enough but it definitely was. I dined here for the first time on a busy Friday evening, in a group of five including one child. Service was relatively quick.
I ordered the battered John Dory, which came with beer battered chips and a garden salad. The meal was fine, and reasonably priced at about $19. The junior member of our group unfortunately did not enjoy the kids' macaroni and cheese. I also had some of it and found the macaroni to be over cooked.
My overall experience was affected by the high level of background noise, mainly due to a raffle being called over a PA system in the restaurant. I was told that this happens on a regular basis.

When I was finally acknowledged and walked to table, the male waiter threw the menu down and walked off, no explanation of specials or how even to order.Some venues like this you have to order from the bar area. So I was none the wiser, especially as I sat for 5 minutes without anyone at least taking my drink order.Female staff were friendly. Steak at $35 would want to be above average, to reflect the price.It was tough as a piece of old leather.Disappointing experience all round
I've been to The Terrace before and the macaroni cheese was horrible. I couldn't taste any cheese, it was to creamy and the pasta was nowhere near al dente. It was like a cream soup with half-pureed pasta.
This time I tried the battered fish. The batter was perfect and the fish was beautiful. I ordered fizzy water but it tasted metallic like it came from a can. It seems the kids meals aren't treated as well as adult meals.
I joined member on our last visit, only $5 membership and their Sunday roast was nice!We went on Sat lunch, I ordered one of their special, Pad Thai.I could not believe how bad was it. It just a stir fried noodle with chicken. No taste and no even smell like Pas Thai. It's bad I would remember not to order Asian food from them again.Lucky my husband fish and chip was fine
This is an excellent place for a good value meal, with a good menu.Service was good, the food was good and drinks are at club bar prices.This venue is a sports club and Membership is required for locals with sign in for guests and travelers.

Fantastic meals. I had the special ribs and thoroughly enjoyed it. Very friendly staff with excellent service. I do like the way the staff take your food and drink orders and you pay immediately everything is online. There is no waiting.
