When this place is busy, there is nowhere inside to wait; one must stand awkwardly off to one side of those dining outside. The outdoor seating is on the sidewalk; diners have passing cars, exhaust fumes and headlights in their eyes. Those walking down the sidewalk have to detour around those dining on the sidewalk and enter traffic to do so. Service was lacking There is no greeter or hostess. We weren 't given an option as to whether we wanted inside or out so were seated on uncomfortable little plastic chairs a stone 's throw away from the parking lot. This restaurant is a favourite of my wife's whenever she is in Lake Mary and after having dinner there this evening I can see why. The service was great. I was impressed by the number of staff they had working for such a small place and they were very attentive. Our water glasses never got below half full before they were refilled. The food was delicious. The lasagne was simple, tasty and not too heavy. The veal Marsala was tender and melted in your mouth. I enjoyed the open concept kitchen and watching them prepare meals while we waited for ours. I had the short rib ravioli and my husband had the Branzino special of the day and it was AWESOME!! A couple of ice cold Peroni’s to wash it down, and then afterwards we were offered a desert special, their Pistachio cake. All I can say is this is a must try if they have it when you go, as it is not always available. The food here is typically outstanding. And, it is also usually very consistent. It’s a small place, but cozy. The management is not overly friendly, but the wait staff is very well trained and very attentive. Again, the food is absolutely fabulous. You cannot go wrong dining here regularly. Simply put, we ordered 2 Margherita pizzas and it was nothing like the photo. I can tell you from being an ex New Yorker and having lived in Naples, Italy for 3 years, the pizza was terrible, not even close to a Margherita pizza, it was more like a small version of your average pizza place in Florida. It was chewy and hard to swallow. The server was not personable nor attentive. We won't be going back there, this was the first and last time. Have been to Terra Mia many times, but last night was absolute worst! A/C was set on 70 with the cold air blowing directly on us for the entire dinner The whole family froze! The eggplant Parmesan had very little eggplant, mainly noodles and the Grouper special was predominantly risottovery little grouper. My husband said this is the last time we will go there! terra mia is amazing! I've never been disappointed and have eaten here for years. it is always a pleasure to have masterfa as our server. Today he made my day when he told me I could still enjoy my favorite pizza, but as a gluten-free dish. I can still eat here so excited after I said that I must be gluten-free. Thank you!
