Very interesting and sophisticated menu. The food was excellent. Butternut squash soup had a ton of great flavors that blend well. Risotto also had a unique combination of flavors. The cheese board was great. The duck and fried chicken were also really good. Scallops were also amazing. Even the fresh cooked bread was delicious. We ate on the enclosed patio, which is a really great and cozy space. It's covered and dog friendly. We just moved to the area and were able to go to this restaurant again. It's truly great. Everything we had was top-notch. Tuna crudo, shrimp tagliatelle, josper roasted duck breast, and a side of truffle mav and cheese. We are definitely going back again and again.

If I could give more stars for service I would. This was the best service I've had in a VERY long time in Virginia. We went for a wine tasting (amazing) and decided to eat after for a birthday. They customized the menu for the birthday. The food was cooked perfectly. We ended up getting the scallops, duck, cappuccino, and a tiramisu. Terrapin is an amazing establishment. I can't wait to go back.

I had high hopes expectations but was quite disappointed. Not sure if we were there on an “off” night but we did the 4 course tasting…there wasn’t much taste involved. The food was bland, our meats were overcooked, service was subpar. Not the quality of food we were expecting, especially for the price. Cocktails were delicious—definitely the best part of the meal.

My first time here, I ordered the charcuterie cheese board. So delicious!! The fried chicken was good. With peach cherry crisp and vanilla gelato for dessert. The tart cherry soda was good, but the refill was terrible. It tasted like vinegar, so I could not drink it.I recommend the restaurant. Reserva una mesa ahora

Visited during memorial weekend. Picked this place for an awesome dinner. Wasn’t disappointed. Service was top notch. Steaks were cooked perfect. Bread was amazing, made fresh. Outside dining area was great, tables spaced far apart. Would recommend. Will come back again in future.

Laurel was phenomenal. Fantastic interaction and stellar suggestions. Extremely attentive and offered great suggestions. All angles covered by entire staff. Each dish and drink were both unique and exceptional! Such a great experience. Will be back!

I will never eat here again! Spent $26 for three pancakes that wasn’t good, eggs and cheese looked like they were made in water with a spoonful of corn beef hash. I took a few bites and threw it in the trash! Wasted my money!

Nice modern atmosphere a few blocks away from the waterfront. Entree was excellent. Wine list is not expansive, but there are some good choices. Service was very good. Will return.
