I remember when I tried Tew Thai for the first time back in May 2014, and found them to be one of the tastiest guilty pleasure Thai eateries around. Tried them again for lunch today, and probably won't be back again - even if they paid me (the repercussions from my liver would be too much). Ominous Sign No. 1: The restaurant was empty at 30 minutes past mid day. Enough said. Ominous Signs there after were many, but I should have paid more respect to Ominous Sign No. 1. So my bad. But depending on the day some normally busy restaurants are also quiet. So I gave Tew Thai the benefit of the doubt. My bad, truly. To be fair, the service was friendly, and the venue appear to be relatively clean....
Prices are reasonable, and serving sizes are about right. One criticism was my Laksa order which was described as consisting of egg noodles was substituted without notice for thick rice noodles. Never had a rice noodle Laksa and I never want to have it again- as its a big no no. Would have appreciated being told of the change. If I had the opportunity to have ordered something else, the review would have been better.
We had the chicken satay, read curry deck, pineapple fry rice and the beef pad see yew, overall we are happy with the taste, except the beef is a little overcook. The portion is a little small though but still normal size. we went on Sat night, and it's not really busy or noisy, so it's a good place to talk while dining, and the view is not bad. overall it's a good dining experience.
Not bad but the other Thai places in the area are better. This place whilst it had nice food, had smaller portions, slower service and we paid more for it. I wouldn't avoid this restaurant at all as dishes were good. But the other local Thai joints are better, that's all. No really innovative dishes on the menu.

This is definitely one of the best of the many Thai restaurants here in Gladesville. They have really lovely seafood dishes and always fresh.My kids particularly love their salt and pepper squid and prawns. Much better than most. I really liked the kwai do noodles with duck.It's closed on Mondays.
We often get take away or delivery (which is free if you order over $25) and it is always great value, fresh, fast and tasty- the tender Beef Massaman Curry is a favourite! The back of the cosy restaurant has a lovely view of skyline looking west towards the Parramatta River.
I really enjoyed dining here. The food is lovely, very tasty and the service is friendly. The yellow chicken curry is awesome. I will be back here again and again. Also value for money.
Service was excellent, food was delicious. Had the chicken satay, green chicken curry and beef with chilli jam and cashews. Will be going back again. Will recommend this restaurant

Staff are always warm and welcoming and nothing is too much trouble. Food is good although can take a little time to come out.
