Tex Tubbs Taco Palace

Dec. 2023 Update: Been too long since we revisited Tex Tubb 's! We need to get to the near eastside more often, cause this place is STILL the ace! BEST MARGARITAS I 've encountered in Madison to this day. No fall off in the quality of food (the brisket taco is out of this world . Dang, I need to save room for churros next time!! Viva Tex Tubb 's! I entered this place declaring, I 'm from Austin; impress me! And they did with the quality of the food and drinks. An excellent margarita, nice selection of brews (Shiner Bock! , and true Texas-style tacos with some fire and oomph. I give them a hearty thumbs-up and appreciate that they live up to the brag!

Tex Tubbs is a big hit with our family, something for everyone. We normally go about 5 times at least a year. Great Mexican food at a reasonable price. The outdoor patio they added in the parking is a bonus. Few things that could improve, tacos have gotten a little bit spicer (pork pineapple taco). Also, I really wish they would bring back the salsa bar miss it. Diffently recommend to friends and family.

Really good!! All the food is great, and the staff is nice and patient! I had the tacos and they were so delicious! The atmosphere is really cool, and my husband is sensitive about lighting, but this place was cozy and perfect.

Very tasty and accommodating to dietary restrictions! The cauliflower tacos were my favorite. I didn't like the fish tacos, they're strange, but I don't think they were prepared badly. Overall this is a great restaurant Reserva una mesa ahora

Love, love, love these authentic Austin tacos! The food margaritas are great. The atmosphere is comfortable the staff is welcoming fairly attentive. We'll be back!

Excellent food, made freshly and the servers are very attentive. The prices are fair and you almost always have food to take home.

Cannot beat the happy hour prices with 1/2 off tacos and Margaritas. Highly recommend the Cadillac Margarita.
