We decided to stop here because we were looking for a place with a good selection of beers and an interesting menu. This place definitely met our expectations! We sat at the bar and enjoyed a few beers. My girlfriend loves wheat beers, and they had several on tap for her to try, all of which she enjoyed. We ordered the schnitzel and the sausage plate, both of which were excellent, but the schnitzel was absolutely amazing! The German potato salad was also a big hit. For dessert, we had the Texas sheet cake, which was incredibly moist (my girlfriend, who usually avoids using that word, even remarked on it—too funny!). The food is absolutely amazing. They always hit the mark when it comes to freshness and taste. However. the service is lackluster. Some, not all of the wait staff take their time to come around between refills and to ask for dessert. Their weekend special menu is wonderful. This place has become my new regular spot for food when I'm in the area, I can always count on having a delicious meal. I visited for the beer but ended up staying for the schnitzel. We ordered beers, bacon corn chowder, schnitzel, and the forbidden love dish. Everything was outstanding! The portion sizes were generous, and the staff was incredibly friendly. At one point, I found myself debating whether to take another bite, weighing it against the fullness I would feel for the rest of the day. I can confidently say it was worth it! This place is a diamond in a haystack! Food is outstanding, drinks are delicious and service and staff make you feel like home! Highly recommend, we’re from out of town and loved it! Great food, amazing staff. Owner is super attentive too! Very laid back place to go have a few beers but casual enough to go with the whole family!! We love it here! Highly recommend.
