First time visiting and I really had a great time! Sat at the bar, watched a sporting event and enjoyed large food portions. I started with the breaded shrimp, friend okra and rolls/biscuits. Followed by a 16oz ribeye steak with mash potatoes/ gravey and a side of corn. Good service and great (old school feel) atmosphere. They also can accommodate families or large parties. If you are in the mood for some good old fashion cooking, you must try out Texaz Grill. Hope everyone has a chance to visit this establishment.
Just what I would expect in East Texas, but not here in Phoenix. A perfect restaurant in the street house style. The decor is cool, the ambience alive and the staff is really personal. The food we had was perfect for Texas! Smoked Prime Rib, delicate, great smoke flavour and perfectly cooked, potatoes and an extremely tasty, a perfect engraving. Fried Okra cooked only past done, made it really crispy. We also had the catfish, which was crispy outside and very juicy inside. I'll make a lot of trips back.
This place is easy to miss, has a parking lot on a diet, but if you can snag a space, it’s an eclectic and comfortable restaurant with so much decor to add to the experience. The menu is broad, the food was delicious, but as you can tell from the description, the decor truly adds to the experience.
We had a party of 5. First time there for all of us. I guarantee it won't be our last time there!! The food was spectacular!! My steak was the Best I think I have ever had!! The staff was phenomenal, pleasant, and just nice!! I can't say enough good things about this place!!!

As a Texas Girl, I’m critical about chicken fried steak and this place nailed it on the head! Loved the food, the vibe and our server was super nice and helpful when ordering. This place made me feel a little closer to home especially with the huge portion sizes!!
Absolutely love this place. I usually get the CFS. It's like a little piece of home (Texas). EDIT: 10 3 23 a friend came in from out of town and I took him here. Later that night he posted that it was the best CFS he'd ever had.
Our food was great. One of the wait staff brought my son a toy chest for him to pick 2 from. It's included along with a small ice cream with kids meals. He loved it. A family atmosphere for sure.
Good food, great service, cute little hole in the wall place. I was pleasantly surprised!
