We 've been going to this restaurant for many years, and it 's our go to for real Thai and Lao food. You won 't find ketchup in their Pad Thai. Their Nam Khao is the best to be had in the GTA. Chicken laab is never enough. Som Tam is pungent the way it should be and delicious. We 've taken so many people here and every single one of them loved the food and have become loyal or repeat customers themselves. Family members (who were either born or lived for years in Thailand) gave their hearty approval. Friends who have never had the cuisine before (and some of them are quite picky) enjoyed the new foods we introduced them to, while those who have gone to other Thai restaurants said the food he...

Near York University, Thai Bamboo is West of Keele with free parking and a good menu. It is family food that is appropriate (against Toronto prices); the portion size is the best. Last time I ordered Tangy Tamarinden-Rind and Thai/Kabbage-Salat – big enough to share, plus spicy eggplant, and coconut chicken-skewers on cucumber sauce. Dishes range $14-$18 for pad Thai, sweet basil (bef/Seafood not bad), or curry chicken dishes. The portions are very good, often gluten-free, not too salty, and with vegetarian options (e.g. tom yum soup). Lemongrass chicken / beef takes half an hour to cook, so preorder is best for bbq. The peanuts are offered on the side, and the variety of vegetables in dishe...

Jan 2018 I when there for lunch order crispy shrimp roll to go with my meal. when i bit in to the greasy roll found 98% filler(noodle) and 2 small pieces of shrimp size of a dime. I informed the waitress . she took the roll back to the kitchen and brought it back to me and said here are the shrimp. Then the waitress said I'll get you another one. when the bill came. they charge me another of shrimp roll. i ask why are you charging me another roll. because we brought you another one then i said that not right the waitress just stand there and had no answer. Will never go there again . i will also pass on my experience to all my friends and across all the university campus when i go visit.

I came across this restaurant that could be easily missed during the ride a few years ago. I had already tried several Thai restaurants, but most appeared in the trap of chain food providers. Instead, this place has retained any originality, uniqueness, true flavors of the original Thai cuisine. My favorite dishes are Pad Thai with shrimp or beef and the unique fresh spring rolls. Service is great, servings are abundant and price is affordable. I would recommend to everyone to immerse themselves in Thai culture for a few hours by visiting this little place. Enjoy it!

Don't let the appearance fool you. The food here is tasty, fresh, good portions and reasonably priced. Real authentic pad Thai! Been to the location in Barrie many times. Finally made it to this location. Was disappointed at the ambience but the food is scrumptious! Barrie location is a lot More welcoming, better atmosphere. Was getting take out so didn't matter, just Happy the food was good.

My sister-in-law who travels the world, and has spent months in Thailand, says that this is real Thsi food, at it's best. The normal spicing is perhaps a bit milder than that found in Thailand, but you can always add spice if you want to or dare to. Verg tasty dishes well portioned. We have about a dozen favorites of the 30 or so menu options. Service is great and fast. Take out available.

Thresh Spring Rolls were excellent! Properly rolled, great fresh ingredients, good size. Tom Yum soup is the best I had anywhere. Good help with shrimp, lots of taste, fresh green onions and cilantro. The Chicken Pad Thai is amazing. Fresh ingredients, beautifully seasoned, generous portions. Could be here again!

Ordered Pad thai and couple of veggie choices.. I heard the meat items were good but they got to improve the REd curry tofu items and Green Veggi dishes.. They were pretty average and it was pricey. The Service is very slow and they even forget an item and had to run back to pick them up.

The flavour was very good and the vegetables fresh. Add extra peanuts! The vegetarian tom yum soup was very hot/spicy — tempered with sweetened coconut milk was the fix. Partner liked the shrimp pad se ew, but not as much as my veg pad Thai
