My 87yo mother had an awful introduction to thai food last night. Not sure how long since the heating has worked in this echoey dining room but they seemed well set up with bar radiators and oil column heaters, cords everywhere on the floor. Unfortunately, with the size of the building and the heaters Only being turned on when we sat down....it was very cold. My mum wore her overcoat, scarf and gloves while I added a spare jumper and a down jacket that I had in the car. Then the food came.....after a long wait, and it was very ordinary. I was so dissapointed, I was looking forward to sharing the fresh flavours and vegetables of the usual thai dishes but this wasn't the case.
This newish business occupies the former premises of the Two Sisters Lao Thai Cuisine. We order Thai food regularly here for home delivery (which is free) or pickup. Their chili basil chicken is hard to beat and their service is super quick.They operate out of an eat-in restaurant however the ambience is not enough to attract me to eat there. I wish it was better because the food is great and the prices are very reasonable.
We visit this local restaurant regularly for take aways and for the price you pay it is excellent value. Whilst the restaurant is in modest premises (the old Two Sisters Lao Thai), the ingredients always taste fresh (I think this maybe because of the high turnover) and the basil chicken is excellent. It's also possible to order online and they do home delivery. Take away here is recommended.
Went on Good Friday as our regular Thai restaurant was closed. Place was empty which concerned me a little. Place looks a little dated but i was there for the food. Ordered green curry prawns and a tofu stir fry. Both were really good. Mrs comments were that we'll be back and will probably become our new Thai haunt. Service was friendly and efficient.

Visit the urban (our local) every few months- including last Friday pm. Food is always well cooked and fresh - Pad Thai was very good and pepper and garlic king prawns were even better. Premises have been touched up but still reasonably modest. Overall good value for money with the food the stand out - do a good take away service as well.
Dined in although despite having plenty of seating we were the only two sit down diners. Take away was very busy. The fit out is basic but clean. We we served promptly and received our meals in good time despite the busy takeaway traffic. Food was good, fresh and tasty. Good value for money.
Ordered and was delivered hot and fresh. Delicious fresh thai food, i havent had better in the Canberra area. Jumbo prawns, delicious peanut sauces and fresh lemon lime and bitters. Highly recommend!
Authentic tasty Thai food our whole family enjoys. Plenty of mild and spicy options. Great for takeaway and they have a karaoke machine you can use if you dine in.
