After a unremarkable first visit to this restaurant in September we decided to try Thai Wi-Rat again. My husband and I were on our own this time so we were able to order the food to our specific taste Thai hot with less...sugar. We had a tom yum prawn soup, som tum (green papaya salad) with seafood and a pad ped ka mhoo (stir fried pork leg in chilli paste) with a serve of sticky rice. The food was just sensational and it was a world away from our first visit. The staff were super friendly and helpful and BYO for per head was a bonus!! We'll be back to try some different dishes!
We love Thai We-Rat! We stumbled across it a few years ago and it is now our must visit restaurant when we go to Brisbane! The food is plentiful and flavorsome whilst the staff will guide you through the menu. It's not a flash restaurant...but the food and the price more than makes up for this. I highly recommend the banquet, you won't be disappointed!
This is a hidden gem! They make an amazing Massaman curry and price wise it is very very reasonable. This place is BYO too although atmosphere isn't their strength. Also ordered the green curry with chicken and chicken Panang. Both were nice but the Massaman is what we'll be coming back for. The satay chicken was really nice too.
What a delight, best Thai food, fresh, and beautifully cooked and it’s NOT swimming in any oil. I want to take the chef back to Sydney with me. Outshines the Thai restaurants in Sydney a million to one. Do yourself a favor and eat here....Reasonably priced and friendly staff. Just brilliant.

The food is fantastic! I have been here a few times for lunch during work and evenings for dinner with friends. The service is always excellent and the menu offers a variety of options. They have a full bar with alcohol as well as a coffee bar that I love. Can't wait to go back again soon!
I have seen this restaurant for many years in the valley, but recently it discovered its wonders. last month I had my Thai partner to stay with me and we visited this place often. it has the best Isan food and the coldest Chang beer....Very well appreciated. great service.
Love this place because it used to be one of the few places I could find Beer Lao. Would love to see more Laos food on the menu as well. Good Thai food. Now that the venue is bigger, it seems that service has kinda...dropped off and is not as good as before.
The food at this restaurant is truly exceptional. It is of great quality and and the flavors are delicious. I tried the pork green curry and it was absolutely perfect! The prices are very reasonable and they offer a wide variety of Thai dishes.

The lunchtime special noodle is the cheapest and best lunch you can get in the valley. Cooked perfectly and a case of chilli oils to spice to your taste, served by friendly staff. Superb.
The Thai food at this restaurant is very authentic and delicious! I tried the pad thai and tom yum cha yen, and I have always been satisfied every time I dine here.
