We tried this restaurant on the recommendation of a friend. We were hoping for a nice tasty meal. The place is quite small and seemed to have some regulars in. We ordered vegetarian meals. The entree of deep fried tofu was dry and inedible much like eating cardboard. When it was taken back mostly untouched the comment was that's all we can do. Our mains were pretty ordinary as the vegetables were overcooked and they were not well presented. As we paid the bill we got the sense that there was little interest in our experience even though it was pretty clear how disappointed were were. We paid the bill, tried to take it in our stride and don't expect to return. YMMV
We have finally discovered a little Thai restaurant that has fantastic food and friendly service. From the money bags to the pork skewers to the Satay chicken and veggies to the golden rice. It all was absolutely delicious. This restaurant is a small family run business. The decor is nothing over the top but who needs it to be when the food here is one of the best in town (if not the best). We love our Thai food and know a few good Thai restaurants in town BUT we are happy to say I think we have found our regular place to dine when we want great Thai food.We will continue to come back. My husband is still raving on about our meal tonight. Thank you.
After reading the reviews on this restaurant, I was not prepared for the experience we had. The restaurant is small and basic and very quiet for a Saturday night. We ordered the deep fried tofu as we had enjoyed this dish in other Thai restaurants. The tofu was dry and tasteless and not helped at all by the bland sauce that accompanied it. We decided to forego this dish and hoped our mains would be better. As we are vegetarian we ordered tofu with our mains. The sauce for the curries was quite tasty but most of the vegetables were mushy and unfortunately we had the same dry bland tofu that was served for the entrée.
I am lucky enough to work near this delightful little Thai Restaurant located next to the Commonwealth Bank at Mawson shops (Canberra). The family that run it are lovely, always happy and very friendly. The food is really delicious. At $10 for a lunch, including a bottle of water it certainly is great value. I often pick up a lunch pack to take home for dinner. If you are in a particular hurry I recommend phoning in your order as everything is freshly made to order and tends to take around 15 minutes to prepare.

We eat here are least once a fortnight. More if we could! We love it. The food is good and tasty, freshly cooked and 'real'. No skimping on flavour. The family are in house and the takeaway and home delivery service make this an all round good choice. Restaurant is small so there is no risk of big groups spoiling your night with lots of noise. Intimate and delicious.
Beautiful food I come here again and again. My local Thai restaurant is nowhere compared to Thai@Mawson and I love how there is no added MSG (addictives), so you know if the food tastes good it really is good. Wonderful food and cute interior for a small space. I recommend this place to everyone :))
It is that feeling that u want to reward urself after working so hard yet u do can only afford to give that enough budget but without spoiling the feeling of satisfaction that u truly deserve this cozy restaurant says it all.. Thank u for making my week complete with a laksa beef.
This our little Thai go to, every week without fail! Panang is beautiful and the prawn pad thai is amazing ( massaman curry is a little hit and miss sometimes ) but 90% it does not let us down! Highly recommend. Oh did i mention that the people that run it are just gorgeous too?

Delicious neighbourhood gem!
Went there last night for the first time, We had the money bags for entrée followed by Penang curry & stir fry all very tasty! Will definitely be going back.
This is our favourite place for a quick Thai dinner or take away. We have never been disappointed by the food.
