Returned to the Twelve-Penny after a three-year hiatus More nice people, the GPS did get it right this time, same old muddy parking lot. Great music and as usual, the club made it a point to publicize the advent of the DC gang to Pennsyltucky as a grand happening, so the place was full of both gay, lesbian and straight couples looking for a great time dancing and having fun. The owners seem to have lost interest in this restaurant, and as a result, it has become quite disappointing. They've allowed a rowdy and heavily intoxicated crowd to ruin the experience for everyone. The sound system in the main bar is inadequate, making the touch tunes feature useless, as the music comes out muddy and unpleasant. The DJs aren’t much better, as they repeatedly play the same unappealing songs that discourage people from dancing. It seems like they just hit play on a playlist and step away, showing little care for the atmosphere. The bartenders are excellent and truly the highlight of the place. I’m unsure how to rate a restaurant that is closed on Sundays. Although their website, Yelp, and Facebook all stated that they would be open from 6 AM to 2 PM today, I arrived only to find the restaurant locked up. I had heard great things about this place and was eager to try it out during my two-week business trip. It’s frustrating to drive all this way to find it closed, especially since there were no notices on the door indicating they weren’t open. If they aren’t operating on Sundays, they really need to update their social media with the correct hours. I am actually impressed, first time being here and their competitor is most likely Heat nightclub in Wilkes-Barre. Heat tends to have only Dance/ EDM music. This is a bar and club had variety 70's through now, mostly 00's. Cover was $4 but can increase. The drinks were a tad more money but it's worth it. The people here are nicer then Heat in my opinion. But honestly, catty people can go anywhere. This one has a great deal of diversity and a older crowd roughly around 10:30pm and younger crowd. Some music choices were literally garbage but it's fine.

Love to meet here with friends. Three bars...main bar with pool table andcsrtvrs food. Piano bar upstairs. And video dance bar in back for a nominal cover! Now smoke free throughout entire bar!
Fun Dive Bar. Friendly atmosphere. The great affordable drinks made us forget the freezing weather. Ron was a sweetie. Great bartender. They Made this girl feel super comfortable!!
The drinks are very reasonably priced, and there's usually a lively crowd on Saturday nights. That's the only night I've been there so far, but I intend to return frequently.
This place is amazing I loved it very much with my gay boyfriend. The bathroom was very nice to have fun in. Great gay bar! definitely recommend

This is a great gay bar a few blocks away from my house. Super friendly atmosphere . If you can't have a fun time here get your head checked!
