I attended the Cheltenham Races Festival and stayed in Tewkesbury. I had visited this restaurant last year and was eager to return this year. I was not disappointed at all. The food was of top quality, cooked perfectly by a very talented chef. This is true, hearty food - steak, fish, vegetables, potatoes. The menu also offers a variety of starters such as soup, prawns, and scallops, all presented and prepared to the highest standards. Love this restaurant. 3rd time here and as previously our food was amazing. 4 different mains each one cooked beautifully. Cheeseboard was superb. We had duck, lamb,salmon and belly pork. Stunning food, wonderful service and had a good chat with the chef afterwards. Anyone visiting Tewksbury should definately try this wonderful little restaurant. Will definately be going back. Food was at best average but vastly overpriced. We expected a great steak at over £32 but we received standard supermarket vacuum packed fare it seemed. Prawn starter was meager and from frozen. At £50 a head incl wine, it was a disappointing experience. Would not reccomend.
Would highly recommend this restaurant, service was outstanding waitress was very polite, welcoming, attentive. We had the spinach and ricotta tortellini tasted fresh, tasteful and well presented. Relaxing atmosphere for a small l restaurant.

The food was excellent and we couldn't find any faults with it. The steak was cooked perfectly. We appreciate you accommodating our restless dog. The staff were very friendly and the ambiance was nice. Thank you.
Fantastic food, full of flavour and cooked to perfection. Service was second to none. Very helpful and friendly staff. A great little restaurant burning log fire creates a Fantastic intimate experience.
Delicious hot Gluten Free roast lunch, tender meat, crisp roast potatoes, broccoli, parsnips carrots, plentiful gravy and GF yorkshire, attentive staff.
The food and service were excellent. There was a bit of a wait, but it was expected since the food was cooked from scratch.
