This is my 3rd visit to The Admiral Wells and it has never failed to disappoint. I have Coeliac's Disease and their menu has plenty of options rather than the usual one or two. The serving staff are very knowledgeable and the food is consistently fantastic. It's always a good sign when the kitchen has a window that is viewable by the public. There is a lovely garden and a fantastic play area for kids. In the past, I've always been in good weather and have been able to sit in the garden while the kids play but the weather wasn't so good this time. However, I could still supervise them just as well from my table in the conservatory. Highly recommended!
Family Anniversary, pre booked table. Good menu mid Sunday afternoon in February. We were a party of six. Good choice of beer, wine and soft drinks prior to ordering. All food arrived on hot plates, food clearly freshly cooked and of good quality, portions were large and we were disappointed for the waste. A fair choice of sweets and puddings. Good value for money.
beautiful pub and beautiful staff! visited the day of the father, my 2 little girls 5 8 really feel grown up and asked what they want to drink and call them madam: was very good about the pub and advise nice walks near where we could find the lowest point in Great Britain and that they were the lowest pub. will definitely visit again!
Lots of choices. The garlic mushrooms in a creamy sauce are divine for any fungi lover. Burgers are delicious. Huge portions though. Our party all had different things and everything was delicious, lovely and hot. Reasonable prices too. Nice atmosphere. Lovely place to eat, the staff are lovely too. Highly recommend a visit.

We have been enjoying this pub for a few years, especially after our dog has passed away. However, last night we celebrated my man's 40th birthday at the restaurant, and it was simply amazing! The staff was absolutely fantastic, making the experience truly memorable. It’s a wonderful traditional English pub!
The best pub around! You don't even need to worry about getting there—it's worth the trip. They have a fantastic selection of delicious gluten-free dishes, and the staff is warm and friendly. You can't go wrong here! If I could give them more stars, I definitely would!
Can’t fault The Admiral Wells, been a couple of of times now for food and both times excellent, all enjoyed immensely. Big helpings (smaller available) great prices, a nice proper pub in my opinion. Will be going many more times in the future.
Have had excellent food and service here on two occasions in the last five weeks. Good menu, with plenty of choice. Pleasant attentive and pro-active staff and good home cooked tasty food. Very good.
