The alchemist is great fun if you're looking for something different to start a night out. The drinks certainly aren't cheap, but you're paying for an extra bit of whimsy in the experience with each one. The food is always excellent and for the most part they keep the dishes pretty normal. The Alchemist Restaurant And Bar Waters Edge Birmingham features an extensive menu with a strong emphasis on vegan dishes, particularly their pizzas. Nearly every meat option is also available in a vegan version, offering a diverse range of vegan pizzas to choose from, although this does not apply to the desserts.
My experience at The Alchemist Restaurant and Bar Waters Edge Birmingham was disappointing. The vegan options were very limited, and the staff service was underwhelming. Additionally, the lemonade I ordered had an artificial, chemical-like taste.

I have never seen so many vegan options at a restaurant, except for desserts. They have a wide variety of vegan pizzas, with almost all the usual meat options available in vegan versions.
