Called into an with my daughter for lunch as she is Vegan and the new Vegan menu was recommended by friends. I had Chicken tagliatelle with bacon,mushroom and a beautiful cream sauce. It was so tasty,portion just perfect not to much not to little,and was nice served nice and hot. My daughter had the vegan fish and chips served with muscly peas and tar tar sauce,again she said it was first class and cleared the plate We where served by a lovely lady called Geraldine who is a huge asset to the Anchor with her friendly manor and knowledge. We wouldn’t hesitate returning.
The food is lovely but the dessert is horrible The chocolate fudge cake is as dry as the Sahara desert the apple cake was mushy there was a rotten blueberry and instead of vanilla ice cream they gave us strawberry which didn't go well with the desserts at all. Overall it was disgusting, I don't recommend .Oh and the table we had was so wonky I almost spilled my coffee.the girl that was serving us spilled coffee all over the cup
The vegan menu at this restaurant is amazing! Both the banana blossom "fish" and chips and the cauliflower wings were perfect 10s. There are so many other appetizing options on the menu that we can't wait to come back and try them all. It's the ideal spot to refuel after a hike up Slieve Donard. The staff is extremely friendly and welcoming. Thank you for a great experience!
This restaurant is dog-friendly and has plenty of options for vegetarians and vegans. The staff always greets you warmly and the food is excellent. What's not to love!

We stopped by for a beer at this restaurant. We are looking forward to it opening soon. The bar has a great atmosphere and we really enjoyed our visit.
Always a great atmosphere here. Great staff and service. Pool Room could do with a bit more Heat though. But all in all, good place
Great vegan options, quite rare for Newcastle. Will be back with friends and foes alike.
