The Anchor Inn - Reserva de mesa

We were away for a weekend break and we booked a table for two in advance. When we arrived the bartender addressed me as sir and said that he’d reserved a table for us by the fire, or we could sit in the main restaurant if we preferred. The food was absolutely banging and full of flavour. Our waitress, Ellie, who was only on her fifth shift was attentive, humorous and really made us feel special. We’ll defo be back to work our way through the entire menu.

Food was great tasting, piping hot and well presented. My only gripe was being charged £3.60 for a pint of blackcurrant and soda I was driving) and my wife £2.70 for ½ a pint of the same as she doesn't drink alcohol. £6.30 for a pint and a half of soda water with a dash of blackcurrant cordial. This is ridiculous pricing of soft drinks. Soda water in pubs used to be free with just a nominal charge for the cordial in it. Price per person: £10–20

We found this little pub on this app whilst staying on Tewkesbury overnight and we were really pleased. Had an amazing gf Sunday roast with a choice of desserts and they seemed really knowledgeable about gf. Even the cauliflower cheese was gf so only missed our on the Yorkshire pudding! There where other gf options but we were happy with the roast. Staff very helpful and definitely worth the short drive there. Thank you very much!

Sunday Roast undoubtedly is the long standing British Institution and my most favourite meal. I love traditional Sunday Roast at the Anchor Inn with choice of meat (chicken, beef, Turkey or combination of any two of your favourites), yummy vegetables and especially how they always prepare extra gravy for us without any alcohol in it on our request is great. Lovely food and atmosphere, we had the squid bites and halloumi for starters which were amazing, we had the brownie for pudding which is the best brownie I've ever eaten. Went to the anchor pub with my girlfriend the meal was very nice I will be back again soon.
