Wow! I had heard good things but this place really met and exceeded my expectations. If you are a discerning person who has high standards for cocktails this place is for you! The Spec on the Mai Tai is incredibly impressive with an amazing rum blend. After an excellent dinner we headed up to Bernard’s tiki room and to me it’s now my favorite tiki bar in the Denver metro. The dedication to doing the drinks right is immediately clear with a spindle mixer and beautiful glassware and mugs on display. First things first... Thank you, yelp, for helping finding this gem! This place was established in 1933, and has a really wonderful ambience and vibe. Outstanding cocktails, I mean really really good. Three of us enjoyed the chicken schnitzel, steak salad, and salmon in posole sauce. Three happy diners, three smiling faces, three clean plates. For dessert, we shared the banana pudding and some housemaid donuts. Get the donuts. Repeat: get the donuts. The banana pudding was good, but would have been better with some sliced bananas included. Love relaxing in this establishment. The entire staff is quite friendly. We particularly love our bartender, Samantha, super great customer service with a friendly disposition. Along with Samantha we enjoy visiting with the Manager Amanda, whenever we visit. The food is okay and VERY expensive for Olde Town. Wish they had a happy hour and a better menu to choose from. In addition, compared to other places in town the drinks are WAY overpriced. Super duper great food and drink at the Arvada Tavern. Service was on point, Samantha L was super knowledgeable and she could not have been nicer and more accommodating. The bartenders and kitchen staff absolutely killed it for our first visit here. We had Pierogi and Chicken Schnitzel and both dishes were really delicious and full of flavor. There is a nice tavern, elevated compare with the others in town. We expected a me ir accordingly but was a deception. Menus is nothing special, the only that we can highlight are the appetizers (artichoke dip). Waitress was very attentive. There is a good list of signature cocktails. Recommendation, go for a drink and appetizer. Doesn’t worth have dinner there. Absolutely love the Arvada Tavern. This restaurant is definitely our favorite in the neighborhood for their amazing cocktail selection, but we also love their delicious food, excellent service, and the patio is dog-friendly. Amanda (the GM and her team at Arvada Tavern were amazing working with me for a group event (17 people on a Monday night with just a week of warning. Dre, our server was AMAZING at keeping track of our group, and was attentive and accommodating. The cocktails and environment were fantastic and we had a GREAT time. This place is a treat, the music is old-timely, and the bathrooms don't have soap, they have borax! The menu was a bit limited in both drinks and food. However, it was delicious, and the service was wonderful. The server was fabulous, and they had great live music. Unfortunately our drinks were so terrible we only took 2 sips and had to leave.
