Having worked in the industry myself, I am usually hesitant to criticize staff members online. However, I must say that our experience with Hannah on Saturday was the worst service I have ever encountered. She gave us the wrong drink and when we asked for it to be remade, she was extremely rude and refused, telling us to leave if we didn't like it. A male bartender tried to help us, but she told him not to serve us. Other customers in the bar were shocked by her behavior and later agreed that it was incredibly rude. We wouldn't return to this restaurant because of Hannah. We had spent several hours at this pub, and towards the end of the night, we were asked to leave for no apparent reason. Hannah was incredibly unprofessional and treated us disrespectfully. After reading reviews on other sites, it seems we're not the only ones who have had a negative experience with her. She was aggressive and unnecessarily rude. The rest of the staff was polite, but Hannah clearly needs some customer service training and basic manners before interacting with customers. What was meant to be a flying visit en route elsewhere became a full afternoon. A busy and lively pub with screens showing various sporting fixtures and staff who made us feel so welcome it would have been rude not to stay. Sadly, all bar one of the draught ales were off but the White Friar was worth having several pints.
The restaurant is a very friendly bar with a great atmosphere. There are two excellent pool tables on one side for those who enjoy playing pool, while the other side is more relaxed. The TV screens throughout the restaurant show most major sporting events.

Great atmosphere, reasonably priced drinks and lovely bar staff especially short blonde lady who served me the other night, a couple of rowdy men were giving us some hassle and she dealt with it brilliantly.
The bar man was amazing was a very hot day and he brought us a fan without us asking. Also brought the wi fi password . Seen the other reviews but take ad you fine and I liked it a lot
Horrible. Unfriendly. Full of locals who are horrible to anyone coming in. Wouldn’t recommend. Never coming back to this pub, because unless you’re a local, they will hate you.

Such a lovely pub, great staff and the pool tables were a great addition. Would recommend for late night drinks with work mates!
Taro here was extremely friendly and made me an amazing non-alcoholic drink(asked him to surprise me). Nice vibe here!!
