From the moment we stepped through the doors we were welcomed Iike old friends ... we turned up between lunch and dinner, enticed in with the sign offering Fresh Oysters and Champagne and even though they were closed and preping for dinner service we were seated at the bar and never once treated like an inconvenience . The oysters were so fresh and the staff so friendly and genuinely focused on making this more an experience than a meal we booked again for lunch the next day. When we arrived for lunch we were seated and within 5 minutes attended by 3 staff members, remembered by the owners and made to feel just as welcome as the day before. We celebrated our anniversary here. Nice food and a great service... all employees were so welcoming. A huge cry after Phil (sorry that I couldn't express his actual name, so he said I could call him Phil), he was so beautiful, he recommended the soft bowl of crab that was delicious! We loved the conversation with him and he was very patient and helpful for all around us during our visit. He made an extra effort to make sure everyone was happy. Great experience in total!!!
A great place to celebrate an occasion in the heart of the Melbourne city. The Morton Bay bug rolls were excellent. The whole trout was excellent and juicy. The kilpatrick oysters were excellent. The risotto was excellent. It is on the pricier side but the dishes were faultless.
