We were really disappointed with our visit on Easter Sunday. Although we had a booking, the restaurant was extremely busy and clearly understaffed—we still had to wait around 5 minutes to be seated. We were placed at a table for two that was very close to neighbouring tables, making it easy to hear other conversations and leaving little sense of privacy. After placing our order, we had to wait quite a while for drinks, which ended up arriving at the same time as our starter. This is a wonderful classy establishment, featuring scottish style cuisine Presentation and food quality are excellent. The ambiance is very relaxing. Great place for any special occasion. A private dining room is available. Staff are very attentive and friendly . On recent visit to Aberdeen we ate at the restaurant on the afternoon of Sunday 19.04.2026. The place was quite empty. We decided for the beef Sunday roast. It was arguably the best beef I have tasted and I would even compare it to a good steak! It was served with a gigantic yorkshire pudding, mashed and roasted potatoes, parsnip and carrots and lovely gravy, big helping and delicious!! The staff were very nice. I think that the owners could generate a nicer atmo inside with nice decor, maybe some Scottish elements to underline its cultural accent. Wow, just wow! Food was amazing, staff were amazing and the atmosphere was amazing! 2 courses for £27, couldn't believe the quality for that price. Maggie our server told us it was her first day but you'd never know. She was friendly, knowledgeable and did a fantastic job. I have coeliacs disease and Tony the general manager was very aware of allergens and put my mind at ease. We will make a trip back to Aberdeen just to eat here. Had a lovey pre gig meal here with my husband. It was a Saturday night and the place was buzzing. It serves food traditional classics, done very well. My stand out dishes were the trio of seafood timbale and the pear and almond frangipane was beautiful. Excellent service and friendly staff. Reasonably priced. Looking forward to my next visit.

Delicious food, great portion sizes even for the kids. Fresh and hot. Staff were lovely and made sure everything was ok and our needs were met.
