So let me get out of the way at the onset that everything in Boston is “pricey” and insane! That being said we walked a couple miles around the water and ended up (on purpose) at the barking crab. So we had drinks and then my wife and I ordered food on purpose designed so that we could share and try different things, she got the crab Mac cheese, I got the lobster roll with fries and we ordered a cup of clam chowder. So everything was amazingly tasty and obviously fresh. Even though it was a lot of food for us it was so so good that we ate it all. My step daughter had the crab Mac cheese and ate it all as well. Stopped in on our way back from Vermont. This place overlooks Fort Point Channel so a nice location. The place is tented with a pirates of the Carribean type theme. Our party of 9 did not have to wait too long for a table but we would have appreciated ifthey would have seated us together instead of 2 separate tables as we requested. We order clam chowder, lobster rolls(cold),king crabs, Fried fish sandwich, peel and eat shrimp and bouillabaisse. Everything was done well, no complaints. Drinks weresurprisingly decent as well.
We ate lunch here and enjoyed our visit. Food was a little pricy, a small cup of clam chowder was $10, but everything we ordered tasted good. I give this place a four star ranking because of the bad service, our waiter took our order and then we didn't see him again until he gave us a our check. We tried to get his attention several times to refill our drinks but because of the location of our table he never saw us.
We went to the tent to sit down. Overall loved the atmosphere and it was decorated for the holidays. We got the Apple Cider mimosa, a clam chowder and the Naked Lobster Roll to share. Everything was delicious. The only negative point was that servicewas a little slow. Took awhile for our server to come to our table and the food was quick to get served but took awhile after wewere done to get the check.

Came in from out of town, and this place was amazing! Exactly what I wanted for my first lobster roll. Definitely can’t go wrong food wise get the lobster bisque, clam chowder, crab dip, and traditional roll. Vibes were great, we got seated rightaway despite there being a line, and service was efficient and friendly! Can’t wait to come back.
This is the place in Boston for lobster or crab legs. You order by the pound and get the freshest available seafood. Nothing fancy and the prices are reasonable. Always packed, so a reservation is a must. Don't go to Boston without trying this place!
Excellent food and wonderful atmosphere! The staff was friendly and the communal seating leads to great conversations. We enjoyed it so much we are there two evening in a row.
