The Barnyard Restaurant

Booked a table for 2 for Valentine 's Day per email on 28.01.23. Had a phone call from a lady to confirm the reservation. Arrived today at the Barnyard. My husband entered the restaurant while I parked the car. Apparently the gentleman on the reception was unable to find my booking on the computer. However, he offered a table in the bar or at the back corner in the main restaurant. My husband chose the table in the main restaurant. Can 't say that this was very romantic, especially as there were a few (nicer) empty tables which were later occupied with couples. We had a fantastic time at the restaurant in the afternoon with a group of five people. Everyone ordered main courses, and two of us also enjoyed delicious desserts. The presentation of the food was beautiful, and everything tasted amazing. The staff were polite and engaging, making our dining experience even more enjoyable.

What a fantastic place! If you have something special to celebrate(for me,it was a brunch for my daughter's 21st birthday) then I highly recommend this place. From the moment you walk in the door it feels so welcoming and freindly.Food was fantastic and the service 1st class. Well done to everyone concerned.

It would have been passable but pork scratchings from a bag rather than pork crackling is wholly unacceptable on a Sunday roast.
