The Barrel Inn - Reserva de mesa

Love this little gem in the peaks. The food is lovely. On our most recent visit, I had the ratatouille, which was very tasty and filling it came along with homemade sourdough with a chutney and my husband had the grass fed beef burger, also lovely. The hot chocolate is great with tonnes of choc chips and marshmallows. They have three seating options a cozy typical pub atmosphere inside, an outside seating area alongside the building (service doesn't seem to be as diligent out here on a quiet day but good nonetheless), and across the street on benches, which comes with a gorgeous view across typical English countryside fields dotted with cattle, sheep, stone houses and farms all of this with...

The Barrel Inn at Bretton is fast becoming a favourite of ours! We typically visit a couple of times a month for coffee, but last Monday we had lunch there for the 2nd time. We shared the Bao Bun starter (excellent). For mains, my wife had the Steal Ale Pie I had Chicken Kyiv, both just superb tasty tender, with veg cooked just right. Then the Chocolate Orange Brownie to finish laden with pecans delightful! Cannot recommend this friendly pub highly enough for great food, service and, of course, the 5 counties views! Update: Booked a Chateaubriand for our wedding anniversary last week (August) excellent!

As we were staying at the bretton next door we thought we would pop in for some food, First impression nicely fitted out with log burner , warm inside and the serving staff were lovely, but I think the chef thinks he's a Gordon Ramsay, I do not think the food was that good, small portions and over priced, as were the drinks over priced too, if you think that was a plate of pig your very mistaken my friend..... The food is excellent and the location is beautiful. The menu offers solid, straightforward dishes, and the atmosphere is very pleasant. I would rate the service a 4 out of 5 and the location a perfect 5. One of the highlights of the hotel is its peaceful setting. Reserva una mesa ahora

Toilets are 1st class. Worthy of 5 star hotel. The rest is fairly standard. Beer choice not brilliant with no local ales on offer. The views from the car park made visit worthwhile Service: 4 Location: 5 Hotel highlights: Great view, Quiet

The food is fantastic and the location is incredible. Although the prices are a bit higher than average, they are definitely worth it. Hotel highlights include a stunning view.
