Went to see a renowned Mexican folk band. They were great but the music started very late and the sound was distorted and uneven. We bought tickets ahead of time but nobody was checking and there were people who didn't have tickets. They were not short staffed but the service was terrible... friendly but very inattentive. Some food was great (guacamole, corn on the cob, dessert) but some was just passable (grocery store chips and the smallest tacos I have ever seen). The atmosphere and vibe is great, but somebody needs to pay better attention to detail if they want repeat customers.
The Battleground was nice for my sister’s birthday dinner. The weather happened to be perfect for dining outside in their shaded patio area. The tables did wobble a little but our family found it comical. The homemade tortillas were pretty good and the seasonings were great. The salsa was not your standard chunky store-bought salsa, but an excellent (rather spicy) blend. Very pleasant for an occasion.

Overall the atmosphere is really nice, the location looks like it would be really pretty at night, and the service was great. However the food felt expensive for what we ended up getting and I prefer other Mexican restaurants in the area. Out of everything we got, the shrimp taco was best. Maybe next time I'll try the beers, they seem to have a wide selection that they make.
Great room design, great service. Seriously underperforming food. Elote was decent; poorly made fish taco and poorly made egg chorizo. The avocado toast was decent. If I ever came back, I’d order that.
Enjoyed the sides and apps. Mezcal hibiscus cocktail was very good. Server didn't know who brewed the house beers and seemed unsure on some of the menu items. Overall pleasant but pricey.
Hands down the best AUTHENTIC Mexican food I’ve ever had. It’s definitely on the pricy side but definitely worth it.
