The Bavarian Lodge

We would like to praise the Bavarian staff for excellent service as well as a delicious meal and enjoyable evening. When we arrived they did not have us on their list of reservations from OpenTable. While not necessary, I showed them one of the several confirmations and reminders I had received from OpenTable. From the beginning, the staff made it clear that there would be a table for us and they came through with that quickly despite being heavily booked for the evening. On top of the great service it was nice to have an authentic German dinner (I had the sauerbraten which was a delicious, generous serving of tender roast beef, savory gravy, friend onions, and spaetzle). Anytime we are in Taos we make a point to go to the Bavarian. Its a bit of a trek to get to, especially in the winter but it is well worth the drive.
