I am pleasantly surprised that this restaurant doesn't have more great reviews! A friend of mine recommended this place and has been coming here for months. She decided to have us meet her here last night for her birthday, and the restaurant was packed! What a fantastic discovery! This beach destination has everything you could want - live music every night until 10 pm, a dance floor, decent food at reasonable prices, friendly staff, alcohol, and you can even bring your own booze! There is plenty of parking available and lots of open space to relax on the sand by the water, as well as volleyball nets for the more active guests. What more could you ask for?
I am extremely shocked that this restaurant doesn't have more positive reviews! My friend has been coming here for months and finally brought us here for her birthday last night. The place was packed! What a wonderful find! What's not to love about this fantastic beach spot? They have live music every night until 10 o'clock, a dance floor, delicious food at reasonable prices, friendly staff, and you can even bring your own alcohol. There are plenty of parking spaces and lots of free space to relax on the sand by the water, with volleyball nets for the more active visitors. What more could you ask for?
First of all, the employee who worked in the parking lot was a total liar. We had asked him if there was another place to eat near Robert Moses State Park, and he said there wasn't. However, the nearest beach to Robert Moses State Park actually has a similar restaurant, just not called Beach Cottage. While it is a beautiful place, the water is full of seaweed and not clear at all. It costs $30 to park there, but you can drive to the next beach with beautiful water for $10 and they accept credit cards.
Initially, the staff member at the parking lot misled us by claiming there were no other dining options near Robert Moses State Park, when in fact the neighboring beach also had a similar dining establishment called Beach Hut. While the restaurant itself was pleasant, the water was murky due to an abundance of seaweed. Additionally, they only accepted cash and charged $30 for parking. Alternatively, the neighboring beach had clearer water, charged only $10 for parking, and accepted credit cards.

First and foremost, CASH ONLY???? What kind of nonsense is that?! Oh but there 's an ATM of course. The food is mediocre and the service the worst! The order/pickup window is the same causing a traffic jam! Oh and the girl at the window is in her phone at the window for all to see. She could at least fake smile and say thank you! Oh and the seagulls flying overhead!
