My husband and I were not staying at the hotel but we wanted to go and have a drink at The Polo Lounge (for the experience ya know) in the evening. We walked in late afternoon to inquire after a long hike in Malibu and we were greeted by a woman at the front desk. She was so pleasant and tbh I was shocked at how well she treated us given. She politely told us that if we wanted to come back in the evening, we'd have to change our attire, but not in an offensive way at all. The only aspect that made me uncomfortable was the treatment by the maid service. The women were dressed in old-fashioned maid costumes, which I understand may be part of the hotel's history, but it felt a bit awkward. When we passed them in the hallway, they would press themselves against the wall and engage in small talk with a forced smile. While they were polite, it seemed as though they were required to treat guests as royally as possible. Some guests may enjoy this level of service, but it felt dehumanizing to witness others being treated differently because of the hotel's upscale reputation. At the end of August, I took my grown niece on her birthday for a long weekend at The Beverly Hills Hotel and I was delighted by every aspect of the hotel, its restaurants, and the friendly staff. I have had the pleasure of staying in many incredible hotels around the world, but The Beverly Hills Hotel truly stands out among its competitors. The service is exceptional and they took great care of my car as well. From the poolside to the coffee bar to brunch and the late-night Polo Lounge, we were surrounded by people who clearly enjoy their work. Our stay at the BHH was perfect, from start to finish! Upon check in, we were thrilled to find out we had received a double upgrade. Our upgraded room had a spacious balcony with a 4-person dining table. It was perfect for us to order room service and enjoy it outside! All of the staff members were phenomenal and so helpful. The pool area is beautiful and clean, with delicious poolside food and drinks available from the Cabana Cafe. Dinner at the Polo Lounge topped off our experience! The atmosphere at the restaurant was lovely, but unfortunately it was dampened by the unfriendly hostess. Customers would expect to be treated nicely when they spend $50 on a salad. The server brought us jam for the bread, but never actually brought us any bread. Despite the good food, I had higher expectations for this restaurant. Overall service: 2/5.
A wonderful experience from start to finish. Wonderful room, wonderful staff and great food and drink. We visited as part of a 16 night tour of California (we are form the UK). By far the best hotel on or tour and overall probably the best we’ve stayed in worldwide. Pretty much faultless. We will return!
the service and the room were a wonderful experience for my wife and I, I must say. I will visit there in the near future. the conversion to the entrance of the hotel was in fact dangerous, as many vehicles travel through, so they watch it. Apart from that, it was a great experience. ? room: 5/5
The most amazing customer service from EVERYONE.Every single department from the wait staff, to the front desk staff to room service...everyone!
