So we 've been here a few times and the service and food have always been spot on. However we 've been the last 2 weekends on the trot and unfortunatley the standards have seemed to drop a little. Last weekend went we went, I had gotten the wrong time of our booking but the staff were very accomodating and simply moved the time. (If the staff read this they probably know exactly who 's writing this : . So thank you for that. Now onto the rest of the evening. The drinks orders were taken very quickly and so were the food orders which was great. Came here Sunday evening, had a long day and we was all so hungry. Service was good even though there was only two people serving. When our meals arrived i was gobsmacked by the portions! The two lads ordered burger, this came with a very small basket of chips and a small pot of salad. No word of a lie there must have been 10 chips, i asked the lady and she said they come in a basket. They are homemade chips. Well the portion was tiny. I thought for homemade chips they were very bland. I ordered a pie, this was also served with chips, mine didn't come in a basket but again the portion was tiny. I thought the meal was ok but very overpriced for what we had. Wouldn't go back.

As this our local we are thrilled that it is so good. We often attend the entertainment nights and they do not disappoint. The drag show was fabulous. Before going into the marquee 4 of us ate a fabulous meal. The steak pie is my firm favourite and is my go to. All meals were hot, and very tasty. The desserts were amazing too. We have been many times for Sunday lunch and the quality is amazing. Sara and Jamie are a fabulous couple and always go above and beyond the make out visits special. The service staff are really good and are polite and friendly. We shall be returning often! And are hoping to book our wedding in the near future. PS we want more drag! Neil Si

This is about as good as pub food gets. Really interesting menu that shows considerable thought with a real buzz about the place. Portions are of a good size with excellent presentation. The various dinning rooms are beautifully set out with lots of natural light and well chosen fabrics and furniture. Nice cozy bar for a pre meal drink; good selection of beers with some staple wines along with some more unusual offerings. Polite, attentive services from a knowledgeable team. We reserved a table submitted menu choices alongside deposit. However, due to illness we had to change the date. The Birch tree was accommodating of this and staff were pleasant and welcoming for our Christmas lunch. The main meals were OK but could’ve been enhanced by better choice of vegetables. However starter crumble dessert was lovely. Restaurant decorations were lovely

We went here for our Daughter and Son in Laws Wedding Breakfast and Evening Reception. The venue, food, staff and weather was perfect. There is also a lovely garden to sit in and enjoy..The whole team did everything to make our day special and memorable. Thank you from The Sparkling Diamonds

Came for Christmas dinner with my husband and elderly mum. What can I say. WOW just WOW. Service outstanding Meals all outstanding Atmosphere outstanding Presentation outstanding too Honestly could give a high enough recommendation. Thank you for making our Xmas dinner so special.

Great freshly cooked food, good portions. Extensive gluten free menu. Thoroughly enjoyed our meal and would highly recommend. Car park can be busy on a weekend if a function is on in the marquee however so get there in plenty of time to park up if you've booked Reserva una mesa ahora

We recently had Sunday lunch for an 80th birthday celebration and can only say that the Food and service was excellent , 4 generations were in attendance and nothing was too much trouble.

Food is fine, service very poor, and nothing wasn't too much trouble, the boss seemed nice but the rest of the staff just didn't want to be there
